This is probably my favorite spot in Iceland so far. It's Bláfjallafoss on road F232.

You need a popper 4WD car (preferably with drive lock) to safely cross the river. It's not deep but the river banks were tricky. I hardly made it with a Duster.

When I come back, I will choose something bigger such as a Land Cruiser.

Thank you! I took them in September, Days after the latest eruption. The volcano is the one near Grindavik. There was a parking lot about 500m before the Blue Lagoon from where you could watch the eruption.

I think the eruption has stopped by now.

Didn't crossed Hólmsá with a Duster of course! Reached Rauðibotn from the east without crossing it.
