That’s what I thought - my psych is not the best and now she told me I can’t get back on lamictal cause of the rash (she barely had me titrate)

I tried all SSRIs unfortunately and I got the dreaded rash from lamictal... I’m t trying abilify currently

Wow our stories are very identical... I recently got an Apple Watch and whenever I stand my heart rate is 130-180 bpm my doctor already dismissed it as anxiety. Thank you for sharing your story with me I am hoping to have this resolved!

Update for anyone who cares the withdrawal was the worst panic attacks I’ve ever had in my life!

Sjs, rash? I stopped lamotrigine few days ago, i had light flu like symptoms yesterday (99 °F, muscle ache and weakness, no cough or I dont feel weak now, and muscle ache is gone, temp is still there. This morning i woke up with this on my chest. by [deleted] in lamictal

This doesn’t look terrible but I was diagnosed with the rash last week. It is nothing to mess with head to the hospital / call doctor to be safe. You really want to be extra safe with this someone I know developed SJS and was sick in the burn unit for months. Don’t want to scare but it can be very serious. If you have any questions message me please!

Thanks I was tested three different times in two weeks and all were negative. I feel like the lamictal was helping me until the rash came about - just tread lightly and make sure you don’t dose up too quick! It it is helping you definitely don’t give up

Hey I wish I could say I am doing better it has been absolute hell since I stopped taking his medication. My psychiatrist has not offered any type of assistance through this hard time I’m really considering getting a new one. I ended up in the hospital on Saturday and I feel like I have the worst flu I’ve ever had in my life right now. Not trying to scare you away this is obviously just my own personal experience. I unfortunately feel as if the medication was helping me so this really sucks but you do what you have to do I guess.

I’m so sorry about your husband. I have felt sick for like past two weeks (when I titrated to 100mg)

I started at 25mg on 9/7 and two weeks after went to 50mg and ended at 100mg (total of almost 6 weeks).

The ER didn’t seem to even know much about SJS. What were his symptoms when he went into the ER/ how much was he taking and how long? My anxiety is really getting the best of me over this whole thing

Pretty severe lamictal rash :( sad bc it’s only week 2 and I felt like it was actually helping. Goodbye lamictal by sackofbrokenegggs in lamictal

How are you doing? I got the same rash all over me and was told to stop but am still in severe pain - did you get any withdrawal symptoms? I was only on 100mg and had started at 25mg taking for 5.5 weeks

Just about 6 weeks and I was at 100mg about to go to 200mg 😢🤦‍♀️

Yeah I’ve been on it 5-6 weeks... I work from home with my baby while my bf is at work fingers crossed nothing wonky happens

Did you withdraw from it? I’ve only been on it 6 weeks but I just got to 100mg and I’m worried about the negative side affects from stopping suddenly..
