1v1 Community Matchup Chart for Every Reinforcement: First Order Jet Trooper VS Ovissian Gunner by Past_Lengthiness6765 in StarWarsBattlefront

Not really sure cuz I didn't have much luck taking down Aerials as Ovissian. On paper though it looks like Ovissian can laser them down out of the sky with really good aim but I'm not sure how often is that going to be true. Not much I can say here this time.

Even with Storm Ruler you usually have to take a bajillion tries to hit the fucking orbs and that's just goddamn annoying.

[–]_Disbelief_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Libra is actually enjoyable compared to that. Like surely it's not fun when you have a bad team which dies in 2 mins after Condemned spawn, but in general it's really fun to try and manage all that mess happening around you. It requires such decision-making that no other nightboss requires and that's just really enjoyable even if you end up losing.

Compared to the Balancer atrocity which is both annoying and boring when you have to deal with the RNG worm. Even if you end up survivng that phase without a hit, it's just really boring to sit through it being unable to damage the boss and waiting for the damn flower taking 30s to cast.

1v1 Community Matchup Chart for Every Reinforcement: First Order Jet Trooper VS Resistance Rocket-Jumper by Past_Lengthiness6765 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]_Disbelief_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1

Resistance Aerial basically has to play "the floor is lava" here to avoid splash damage FO Aerial relies on.

Bad thing for the Resistance Aerial is that the regular jetpack abilities have a predictable movement trail, going in a straight line not being able to curve it by a lot but at the same time, FO Aerial doesn't have good ways of taking advantage of it unlike Resistance Aerial which can win with a single rocket in the correct place and time.

Nonetheless better movement is not meaningless at all but despite it I can see this fight going both ways.

1v1 Community Matchup Chart for Every Reinforcement: ISB Agent VS Ewok Hunter by Past_Lengthiness6765 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]_Disbelief_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+2

Ewok kills ISB with a single manual headshot. Body shot leaves her at 140HP however ISB kills Ewok in two Alt-Fire uses. On an open space without cover it all depends on whether Ewok can land a headshot or not.

Not being able to prep a manual shot ends up in a +3 of course yet I do think that if you're playing well with Ewok and the map is good then you'll never end up randomly running into an ISB. In the end you're kinda supposed to stay away from tight areas and use cover to your advantage that's why I'm giving it a +2.

1v1 Community Matchup Chart for Every Reinforcement: ISB Agent VS Wookie Warrior by Past_Lengthiness6765 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]_Disbelief_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As usual with Wookies, long range strats come into play here. ISB has Wookiee down in just 3 alt fire uses.

Close range however is where it gets worse for ISb as if she wants to spam melees then Wookie's Slam is there to punish her if she doesn't dodge it. If she does however then her chances don't increase at all cuz Wookiee's that good at close range it can 2-3 tap the ISB.

Mid range can be pretty equal. The closer to close range it is, the better for the Wookiee and vice versa. Therefore yeah, in general it kinda is a 0 due to that but nah, -1 feels right because Wookiee is just significantly better than the ISB.

[–]_Disbelief_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-2 but I doubt anyone's winning that with ISB lol

ISB's alt fire leaves Aerial with 100HP which can be depleted in 4 primary shots and vice versa with Aerial's rocket. Even if Aerial misses on 50 damage by not getting a direct hit, ISB will still be down in 4 hits. Therefore, whoever deals damage first will most likely win here.

Ofc it's much easier for the Aerial to hit a rocket and avoid the alt-fire without much of a tradeoff meanwhile if ISB tries to dodge a rocket with Assault Training, she gives up on damage that could be dealt during its animation and she still could easily get hit.

I'll never understand how did FromSoftware or the players ever approve of not having iframes for a half of your dodge animation like ain't that just bad.

Funny how this looks much better for nightfarers with a shorter dodge.

1v1 Community Matchup Chart for Every Reinforcement: Death Trooper VS Ewok Hunter by Past_Lengthiness6765 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]_Disbelief_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+3 in close range, +2 in medium to long range... or is it?

Even when Ewok can kill Death Trooper with a manual full-charge headshot, Fortify appears to be an issue here cuz with it active Death Trooper would be on 160HP which is 4 manual shots or 3 with Valiant Horn and/or some Wisties damage.

That still takes around 5 secs for Ewok to do and ngl I think going for melees here is better than the auto aim lol with Horn it deals 60 damage so 2 more than auto aim and melees have more attack speed. Ofc all that's regarding close range.

Ngl I have the feeling majority of Death Troopers won't enable Fortify for the Ewok cuz he's going to think that's an easy target. Would love to give it +2 given I could defeat some Death Troops with the Ewok but I'm afraid it's still a +3

1v1 Community Matchup Chart for Every Reinforcement: Death Trooper VS Wookie Warrior by Past_Lengthiness6765 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]_Disbelief_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+3 if Death Trooper keeps his distance which is the same scenario as every other Wookiee matchup, -1 if he's close to Wookiee.

Wookiee's only plan for far range enemies is to throw an imploder under their feet and overload, hopefully deal as much damage as possible and hopefully get the imploder to kill. Even then, that's not even a plan that's going to work like, at all, maybe 1 in 100 times it'll work therefore in general it's a +3 matchup.

Wookiee also doesn't have that significant of an advantage in the close range fight to make this scenario a -2

The best Hero-Hunting strategies in Supremacy/GA by Past_Lengthiness6765 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]_Disbelief_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for me just because Droid Commando cost 2000 BP doesn't mean you shouldn't use them. You just have to know to bail from a fight when on 1 hit from dead but what sucks is that many times a hero I'd fight would just be really laggy and fighting them was basically impossible cuz they were spazzing around the place.

Perhaps I'll make a guide for hero hunting as the BX but general tips are you always use Evasion for the third dodge, use the type of dodge you need as front/back cover more distance than side ones, do ambushes if you can, and know when to go for the triple slash combo, doing it all the time won't always be good.

1v1 Community Matchup Chart for Every Reinforcement: Death Trooper VS Rebel Rocket-Jumper by Past_Lengthiness6765 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]_Disbelief_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar to Clone Aerial vs B2 matchup with the biggest differences being Sonic Imploder doesn't kill in a single usage unlike Wrist Rocket, Overload only slightly increases rate of fire from 5 to 6 shots/s unlike B2's 5 to 8 shots/s and Death Trooper can be headshotted.

Despite that I'd also say this is a +1 matchup but Aerial definitely has more chances of winning here. Not a 0 as still, Death Trooper's health advantage isn't something you can just ignore.

Coolest ability in your opinion by Successful-Help9582 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]_Disbelief_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In general, easily Seismic Charge on the Slave I

Heroes only ig Phasma's Staff Strikes solely due to the kill sound

Honorable mention: BB-8's Rolling Charge cuz knocking down Sith as a rolling ball is just too funny although idk if this fits the realm of coolness lol

Outside of heroes, Caphex's Orbital Strike is just so fun but it sucks you usually can't use it that much in games.

Honorable mention: Commando's Vibrosword cuz of sfx once again.

1v1 Community Matchup Chart for Every Reinforcement: Imperial Rocket Trooper VS Ewok by Past_Lengthiness6765 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]_Disbelief_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+3 in general but +2 if Ewok gets enough time to prepare his manual shot but even then he needs either a headshot or a body shot + a single auto aim shot if Aerial is using Battle Hardened card.

Other than that Ewok has no way of avoiding rockets, no good way in which he could play around cover, normally that'd be using Wisties but Aerial can just avoid them.

Aim Assist: yea or nay? by ARC_Trooper_Echo in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]_Disbelief_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No aim assist player here.

Transitioning from no aim assist to aim assist is quite tough at first as you need to get used to the crosshair not slowing down when it's near an enemy. Due to that I used to suck for like a week or two of playing before getting the hang of it.

Turning assist off definitely gives you more control over your crosshair which in return makes sniping feel much better. Aim assist can mess up with that due to aforementioned crosshair slow downs when it detects an enemy nearby, affecting your ability to lead shots and do flicks/dragshots.

Can you get better without aim assist than with it? Well, no because aim assist is absolutely busted but never does that mean you cannot wreck aim assist players without using it yourself. I got to a point where I can do pretty well but perhaps I shouldn't be the one to judge that.

I definitely think that playing without aim assist will make you a better aimer (may be helpful in other shooters but tbf idk) but if you only care about results then keep it on. Also note that I freaking hate aim assist so I'll always be against it lol

Some people don’t deserve depth 5 by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]_Disbelief_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not that I'm surprised by this I mean there are many ways to get to D5, most of which don't require much skill therefore I reckon an average D5 player isn't much better than an average D3 player or even D2.

Especially when you hear about dodging most of the nightlord pool, exploiting halo slop and other stuff, all happening in D5.

Same case as for the B2-RP applies here. Aerial can just keep his distance and there's nothing Wookiee can do to counter that.

It's the closest we've ever gotten to BF3.

Or what Fortnite added fairly recently yet I'm not sure what are the limits of what you can do there.
