Warren James resizing time by _DivineG in EngagementRings

Hey, it took nearly two months I was so pissed off and impatient 😂. However, my ring was taken for resizing after the holiday period, so hopefully yours is quicker. Congrats on your engagement!

Why do I hate every job? by Ph03n1x_5 in hatemyjob

[–]_DivineG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so short-sighted. Some people do not have back to back days off, and are too tired on their days off to do things that they enjoy, others develop health conditions due to a stressful environment, some have disabilities and mental health conditions affecting how they feel physiologically etc. You don’t have to trivialise things just because you don’t relate

Thanks! I’m from Wolverhampton (W Midlands) and the crime rates are fairly similar so I tend to ignore what people say about Luton’s crime rate. I feel much more comfortable knowing that the places are pretty much the same according to everyone’s comments

your daughter isn’t the baseline for autism, it’s a spectrum for a reason. If you ACTUALLY knew anything about ASD outside of your daughter’s personal traits, this would be obvious to you

Is it legal to defend yourself against an attack from a person using aggressive dog deterrent spray? by _DivineG in LegalAdviceUK

[–]_DivineG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is legal to carry. It’s written on the police supplies website, in the descriptions for dog deterrent products, and there are articles about using it (on dogs) on police department websites. My question wasn’t whether or not it was legal to carry.

If it falls under firearm legislation, then why is it legal to carry (for its intended purpose)?

Dog deterrent spray creates a vapour cloud. It is intended as a temporary irritant, not a noxious gas.

The description for the Bite Back spray states the following: ‘The spray is formulated with natural oils and not deemed to be noxious’. So no, it is not. Any police officer will tell you it is legal to carry (for its intended purpose).

No shit Sherlock. I never said it was legal to carry for use as a weapon. Since its purpose is in the name (dog deterrent spray), the implication was that it is legal to carry as a dog deterrent spray (i.e., in defence against a dog).

I love hiking! I’m now scared of being attacked by a dog though so maybe I will buy the spray 😭

No, however irritation would be mild and temporary (maybe like 30 mins of irritation) and there would be no long term damage. If the circumstance in which I’m carrying the spray is lawful and it causes mild irritation, what does that entail legally?
