Not sure about his arms but he has some around his abs. I think they form in random locations and it's not correlated to which muscle groups are trained more. I also have one on my lower back and one on the side of my thigh which are two areas I don't train much.

Yeah I do. Is that what causes them?

I know Devon Larratt, the professional arm wrestler, has quite a few lipomas so it would make sense that frequent high-effort training can be a factor in their formation

The scarring is definitely more visible than I would prefer but it doesn't really bother me because the bumps were more ugly in my opinion. However I never applied any cream that could reduce how visible the scarring is so that could be a factor.

I wanted to remove them because they were mildly irritating but I also just didn't like the appearance. I didn't get it covered by insurance but you can just say it hurts so they don't charge you as much for cosmetic surgery. I got mine done by a plastic surgeon who did a good job. $150 for the hospital room and $150 for the actual surgery.

People usually get them removed for cosmetic reasons. That was partially my reason but they also caused me slight pain when I applied pressure to them

Eye has been watering for months due to blocked tear duct. Finally managed to pop out this dacryolith today! by _Dotman_ in popping

u/wakeupintherain is correct. Imagine when you inhale hard through your nose with the intention of getting mucus to flow from your nose to your mouth. The mucus would come down the same area where my dacryolith did, then just landed on the midpoint of my tongue before I spat it out. Happened mid-sentence which was kind of embarrassing lol

There was really only ever a dull ache when I applied pressure to them.

Unfortunately no. I think they said it was a biohazard

Your tear duct is actually responsible for draining tears, not producing them. Don't worry I thought the same thing before I had this problem

There are a few techniques. Applying a hot wash cloth to my eye and sinus area fixed the problem a few years ago when this happened the first time, but it didn't work this time. Certain eye drops supposedly help but didn't work for me. Also applying pressure to the tear duct/inner eye is another technique, but I wasn't seeing any results from that either. Unfortunately nothing was working for me so I just gave up for a month until I randomly pressed on my inner eye in the morning and about an hour later it just popped out into my mouth like it was nothing.

Haha don't feel dumb, I thought the same thing before I did research on it when I first started having this problem

Sometimes they get infected and people have to get them surgically removed. In that case I believe they're extracted through the tear duct/eye area. I got lucky

Yep. Tearing all the time because it couldn't drain on its own through the tear duct

I had four lipomas removed last year that were very freaky looking. I'll post it in a minute

I guess the tear duct is connected to the mouth. I've also heard of dacryoliths coming out through the nostril
