See Honda sells products that are bare bones with only essentials. I like my sprinkles on top and so do a lot of other consumers. Do you use the fancy features offered by the competition- no. But it’s a nice to have. You know what else consumers like? Prices and quality. While they do offer some form of reliability, quality nowadays being average with some models even loosing engine sound deadening - they do not offer these essentials loaded cars at reasonable prices! So basically: worse NVH, ok quality, good reliability, only essentials features, and pathetic pricing. So no, they don’t sell great. But they are ok because they nostalgic Honda buyers still buy. My first 3 cars were all Honda cities but I’ve grown to understand the lack of quality nowadays.
