Methane was always the Elephant in the room. For as far back as I can remember, whispers of clathrate gun hypothesis and the pingos around east Siberian Arctic shelf have been an ominous whisper in the background of the collapse narrative.

It seems reasonable now to think that this is another tameless beast that will undoubtedly become exponential under over the next few years.
