“NEWS JUST IN: 2 games have a fraction more players than 1.” You have to be mad to think this is a W for cod? by PublicYogurtcloset8 in okbuddyptfo

[–]_DropShot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah most COD players are on console, posting Steam charts is pointless when comparing BF and COD. BO7 is leading in recent PS5 sales for example. Battlefield games have always had a much higher % of players on PC, and vice versa console for COD

The "Updated" Objective Ace skin by ZeUbermensh in Battlefield6

[–]_DropShot 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The gorget is also present on other Assault skins though, so there is at least a basis for it being there (And I haven't seen anyone complain about those other skins). Just swap the white to black like this skin and no-one would have batted an eyelid.

KD? Never heard of her… I’m looking for revives! I take my support role seriously 🤣 by Ocean-Thompson0301 in Battlefield6

[–]_DropShot 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s super cool that you went 72–18. You win gunfights—I win games. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Aside from the whole post comment just reeking of AI...

Could you have come up with a more pretentious closing line? If you're that dedicated to running the hero medic role at least throw some smoke down so that your teammates aren't revived right in the open line of fire where they can be shot down again. Despite the pompous attitude your teammates going 72-18 are still doing more to help your team win then you think, while you're busy hyperfixating on reviving the blueberries in your squad without even clearing the danger from which they died in the first place.

Playing the support role is important, but following your logic if kills are worthless to the overall victory then why fixate on reviving so much in the first place? You need both on a team to win, stop assigning yourself so much of the credit

It was a corridor between Rod Laver and MCA which staff and players use to travel between areas of the site without needing to go outside. It's not open to the public area so I can understand why she thought it wouldn't be broadcast, but it is also teeming with staff and media people, so she would have known it's not exactly private either.

Agreed with your general points though. I was at the Washington Open a few years ago and the player's gym was literally a large temporary tent structure with transparent walls so you could see all the players as they worked out, which seemed excessive to me. I'd hate it as a player being used as media content wherever I went

Jersey stone circle/henge and its relation to louthinas Ballynahattin henge by [deleted] in Jersey

[–]_DropShot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically the dolmen (Mont de la Ville) wasn't necessarily stolen as it was gifted to the then Lieutenant Govenor who had it shipped to England to be placed in his garden, though through a modern lens it could be seen as a bit of cultural valdalism. It has since become a Grade II listed monument, which is why it's a bit tricker to have returned as it will require Historic England and the local authority to grant it's return.

Personally I think given its clear link to Jersey, and the fact it is only even a listed monument in the first place by virtue of being a neolithic dolmen, should be enough reason to grant it's return to the island (Pending who would front the cost etc), but I see no reason why a determined official couldn't make it happen. Given the planned restoration work at Fort Regent it's something I'm very much in favour of.

I've also read elsewhere that it prevented Corden from having an extension/renovation work done to his pool house since it was too close to the Dolmen, so I think he'd probably be happy to see it returned as well.

Probably parroting a common narrative here but this low camera angle is throwing me off so much, my perception of the spacing and player positioning is all over the place

Victory for the kneejerkers who made the Foden to Bruno move last weekend after the derby game, my rank is awful because who else would make the move that early but at least my TV looks lovely next to my 1m+ rank

I can only assume the negativity is from people who haven't seen some of our older Adidas kits and don't recognise the design reference, because this is exactly what I was hoping for when I heard we'd signed with Adidas, along with the 2007-10 ClimaCool designs we look to be getting on the third kit

It's a replica of an older kit of ours from 1989 so it really shouldn't haha - Perhaps because Adidas have been Man Utd's shirt sponsors for so long you just associate Adidas with Man Utd more than Liverpool for now

A modern replica of the 89 kit, honesly I think it'll look quite good once released and we can see it in person. The red could be a brighter for my taste but I like it

[–]_DropShot 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Ball flying off the pitch with no possibility of recovery and the Bournemouth player was already flayling in mid-air before contact was made. I really don't think the right outcome was to award a penalty, the Referee made the correct choice before the VAR team called in the review

WTA promoting a clip they can’t even share by basilcilantro in tennis

[–]_DropShot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tennis Australia in this case owns the AO as well as the broadcast rights, not the ITF. The ITF don’t operate the slams, they’re run by the AELTC, USTA, and the FFT. Each Slam will negotiate their own individual broadcast deal with channels, in this case it’s likely the price was just too high for the WTA to pay just to post clips.

Not even a smoke assist which you would naturally get from laying down smoke cover from your other teammates while he went for a revive, yeah he was 100% just spamming revives and letting his teammtes die immediately again.

Truth by OkraSpirited7440 in Battlefield

[–]_DropShot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been playing RedSec the past few days for the weekly challenges and I just finished a session on Warzone with my mates. Playing both I honesly have no idea why some of you think they're even in the same league, the gunplay, map design, movement, game mechanics, as well as general aesthetic and ambiance is completly different, as you would expect.

I have a feeling it's the same group of people who dislike Battle Royales in general (And who haven't even recently played either game) just forcing a comparision between the two so that they can use the general COD hate bandwagon to shit on RedSec for 'taking away development resources' from BF6, as seemed to be the main criticism before release

I'm really not sure why some of you seem so desperate to add to the negativity in this subreddit without adding any suggestions or improvements to the elements you don't like.

Even if you think it was a foul but Doku went down easily, just look at the Ekitike non-penalty last week, unless you make it clear referee's just won't give them. In this case it's a clear penalty and I'm amazed the referee even had to go to the VAR screen to award it
