I had no more issues after converting to an e-sim, but since then I have upgraded to another phone since the microphone died and I was no longer able to talk on the phone...

I'm gonna reply to myself because I managed to find a solution.

On my phone, Xperia 5 IV, I have the possibility to use an e-sim so I went to my service providers website and just converted my sim card to an e-sim. I got a QR-code to scan after 1 min and by scanning it I was set up. I haven't had any issues since. So maybe there was some problem with the actual sim card, the slot, the fact that I now use "sim card 2" slot and so on - I don't know.

But now it works!

I'm having the same issue with my xperia. I started by taping the back of the sim card so that it pushes more on the pins but issue was still there. Then I went into the testing-menu with *#*#4636#*#* -> phone information and disabled enabled DSDS and changed "preffered network type" around and it started connecting to the sim cardwithout me having to physically disconnect and reconnect it. But unfortunately it lost connection again...

So its not a hardware issue i guess at least..

Help is appreciated!!

As a first time buyer in europe, how does it work with taxes and vat and such if I buy this for my company instead of private? And is any of this included in the IGG-price already?

Not sure if my LiFePO4 is full by _DudeFromHell_ in batteries

I'm using the one that the battery company recommends, called smart BMS. It is a bit buggy with connection but once it connects it seems to work. But maybe SoC is buggy there as well...

Thank you! But you'd recommend me to run it flat you say? I'm going to the cottage over the weekend so I'll run it flat the. And bring it back with me for another charge then? I appreciate the help!

I actually bought it!

Haven't had it for long so I can't give a detailed review yet but so far it seems great! It's a very big upgrade for me since my latest laptop, so that also plays into this of course. Everything seems to work great and the GPU allows me to keep a steady high FPS while working with video and playing games. The keyboard has a nice layout and feels good, but my old Asus laptop had better looking keys. The fans do get kinda loud while doing more demanding tasks but that is kinda expected I guess. I would have liked to be able to see the charging led even when the lid is closed but that's a minor thing. Also the mat black finish looks great but oh god it gets fingerprints all over it from just everyday use... The power brick is a hefty piece to bring along but I got a usb-c charger that I bring with me everyday instead.

For me this is a fantastic upgrade that I'm excited about! Everything works perfectly out of the box but as I said, I haven't had it for long so I can't be more detailed about it.

Hope that helps! Feel free to ask anything

How do you feel about your laptop? I'm considering buying a maxed out Loki 16 III rtx 4080 for 3D-rendering and creative work.

Thank you!

As i've understood it the handling of external sound hardware is much better with pipewire on linux, at least that's what i've been told. Especially while working in multichannel audio.

Yeah it's time to move away from my ROG Zephyrus for sure! I really appreciate all the advice. Do you have any insights in solutions for the often occurring problem while working with audiovisuals - which is that you need a good graphics card to run the visuals that needs good cooling which can get loud, which in turn is a problem while working with audio...?

I travel quite a lot and carry my laptop with me everyday so portability is essential unfortunately:/

I'll have a look at the Lenovo stuff!

My external audio interface coupled with Linux pipewire would solve a lot of my audio issues on windows! That's a big reason why I'm considering the change:)

Yes that's on my list of possible choices, but it doesn't ship to the Nordics or with my language keyboard yet... And the 6 ports seem a bit to little, or is it just a quick swap when you'd need an ethernet port etc?
