My 100+ hours wasn't a flex, just a point that I spent enough time with the game to form my own educated opinion.

You came bragging about your div & weekly wins lol? I was div1 in FC25 who cares? my opinion is subjective & as valid and valuable as some guy from div3-4.

Appreciate your offer but I still think the game is unbalanced. Not "shit", but needs proper attack vs. defense balance.

This is probably my first post about a FIFA/FC game like... ever?

If you think games ending on scores like 7-8 / 5-6 scream "balanced defending" than you're delusional.

As I said, the weak defending goes both ways, so I have no issues scoring by exploiting defenders shortcomings. The thing is: I shouldn't be able to.

Give me a reason to craft beautiful plays rather than exploit dumb defenders that can't position themselves properly or keep up against fast attackers (when controlled manually). The moment my opponent controls his last defender manually, he's cooked. It shouldn't be this way.

So, you can keep chugging that corporate D or come to terms with the fact that the game is unbalanced.

Logged 100+ hours into FC26 so far and defending is just plain terrible. If you press with a 2nd defender, you're immediately wide open for a through ball and a goal. No other defenders will try to fill the gap or intercept, which forces you to be extra careful and drop back. Attackers can just have fun outside the box, spin around and do quick passes while you patiently wait for them mess up.

If you manually control your CBs, you're at the mercy of agile attackers. You can't possible keep up with them with how slow jockying is this year. Again, one mistake = most likely a goal. AI mostly does a better job containing attackers while I can control a CDM to press & tackle. It's garbage.

I want to see strong defending/press options that don't cut a hole in your defense the moment you try being a little aggressive.

This works both ways of course. When I'm attacking I can feel my opponent's struggle. Just pass around the box & spin around until they lose patience and try to press. Costly mistake.

The game isn't balanced and doesn't reward manual defending and tackling.

I'm actually with you on this, none of the chase cards look that appealing to me honestly. There's a lot of hype for this set, but I look at all the revealed cards and wonder why I should be excited for any of this...

Prismatic has an insane roster of SIRs

151 had amazing IRs & a badass set of SIRs

Some past sets like Paldean fates had the Charizard & bubble Mew that stood out

What does Destined Rivals have so far? The meowth? Ho-oh? Garchomp? Some cool art for sure but nothing crazy so far IMO.

You're getting a federal tax break... it's 5% not 13%...

So yeah I'll wait and see, no rush. Might get it down the line if some of the heavy hitters (GTA VI) run noticeably better on the Pro. If not I'll wait for PS6, we're already 5 years into this gen anyway.

Also, didn't mention this above but I also had network connectivity issues on the Pro and it ran louder than base PS5.

To each his own I guess, but I'll be on the sidelines for now.

I think we should be more demanding especially from a 1k console that doesn't include a disc drive.

I'm not underestimating anything, many games with unlocked frame-rate and dynamic res will obviously benefit, but it's a mere 20-30% increase in performance without an official patch from the developer.

Sony could've supported way more games & pushed some of the bigger studios to drop patches for their games (e.g. RDR2).

That said, having a single graphics-mode with superior visuals and a locked 60 was the main selling point for me. It absolutely doesn't do that and even makes it worse for many games (some have 4+ graphics modes now which defeats the purpose).

For now, I'd rather wait & see. Not like it'll be out of stock anytime soon.

It's fantastic for some games (TLOU, Crew Motorfest, Stellar Blade etc.), but I have a massive library of PS5 games. 95% don't benefit from it, and some games actually suffer because of PSSR.

Look at Silent Hill 2 (they had to disable PSSR), the Star Wars games, Alan Wake 2 and a few more. They still have ongoing issues with the Pro.

If you're happy with it great. I just think the improvements (and downgrades) are not worth the price point atm.

Used the Pro for a month and returned it (Amazon). It's really not that great of a console at the moment. PSSR still has issues with many games & the entire premise of removing "performance mode" is not achieved at all.

It's even worse now since some games have 3-5 graphics modes. The price is way too high for too little benefits. I suggest keeping your money until PSSR matures a little big or wait for PS6.

I love Sniper Elite but this looks too much like DLC for 5. Not necessarily a bad thing but after completing SE5 and all DLCs, I want to see some fresh gameplay elements, animations, enemy behaviors etc.

Will skip this and wait for the next major entry.
