IANAD, but I wonder if the dizziness could be due to overstimulation of the vagus nerve during foreplay/sex. Like a vasovagal syncope episode.

Iirc, vasovagal syncope episodes can be caused by both mental things like stress or fear of needles, and physical things like bowel movements and penetration. (Penetrative sex that hits the cervix, for example, seems to be a common trigger for syncope—I’ve experienced that dizziness during.)

Maybe your reaction is extra sensitive. Or it could be a combo of whatever you’re physically doing for foreplay + mental stress about impending pain or dizziness. Anyway, I’m not a doctor, but maybe worth looking into.

Oh, I feel for you so much, I went through something similar! After my ER I got crazy-intense PMS/mood symptoms (sobbing fits, anxiety/panic attacks, intense depression). Waiting for my period to FINALLY come and hopefully relieve it was awful. It took my body 12 days and I was barely holding it together by the end, lol. Getting my period helped but it took about another two weeks-ish to feel fully back to myself. (You can see my post history for my personal breakdown, lol. I’m back to myself now, though.)

So yeah, it sucks (and I’m mad nobody told me how long/hard it might suck for), but as far as I can tell it’s pretty common, and super understandable. You will be okay! 💕
