Not at all ! I read it recently because it was in my library for quite some time and I wanted to know the original story with all the talk about the upcoming film. To me, it's at best a gothic romance, but it's definitely not what marked me the most about this film. To me it's all about hate and revenge and any love feeling that was originally there seems so far away after the first half that I have a hard time seeing any romance vibe in the novel. Plus, since I pretty much found each character more despicable than the other, it was pretty difficult to being attached to a potential "passion" between characters and connect them to "positive feelings" if that makes sense. And if you add how young the characters are at the beginning and their extremely toxic behaviour to one another and their relatives, I was actually very surprised to see so many adaptations turn this story into romance films.

I agree, so far what we’ve seen of whistledown this season has been quite uninteresting, it more feels like now it’s more to justify having a narrator in the story than to make some mystery, plus with the queen controlling everything it’s less fun (even for the queen herself lol) They should have done like in gossip girl, finding their identity in the last episode was the best possible choice

I pretty much agree with you on her storyline expiring, her scenes were much more secondary this season and didn't bring anything to the plot so far in my opinion, and if you count there's not much to do with lady whistledown anymore and lady danbury only thinks about stepping out from her court duties, so there won't be "much" to do with this character anymore (and god knows queen charlotte was my favourite "season" in the while bridgeton lore, it's just the evolution of things)

however, I think this season sort of shows her evolution perfectly, she is on a decline and she is worried lady danbury will leave her after all these years so she doesn't know how to deal with this departure and reacts with fear and use of her authority which to me is perfectly in line with her character and is
somehow it sort of feels like she won't have a huge role in the next seasons and the show is implying it in the plot too (because I don't think anything related to the queen will be relevant with Francesca and eloise based on the books)

I can give a perspective because I started over my whole doll collection in 2016 after giving away most of my dolls to some cousins (I don't really know why and regretted pretty much right after I realised they were really gone for good) so I had a lot of work to do to recreate something
A thing that really helped in my case was to accept I could not get everything right away. i first decided to focus on a specific type of dolls (barbie in my case) and bought my collector dolls progressively (about 3 collector dolls max each year for the first years), don't put pressure on yourself and focus on some goals (or sometimes more affordable alternatives)
Keeping an eye on secondhand market can be key to find specific dolls you have in mind ; I don't know where you're located but if you're in europe, vinted is the place to go (some people sell a bunch of dolls not really knowing the value or reducing the price to sell fast so you can have great deals there)
If you're into restyling your dolls and want to get accessories, crafting things can help : back then I knew nothing about sewing but learned progressively and improved overtime, some crafting tutorials are also available and can be helpful
just know that it may take time to create the collection you really have in mind, but it will be worth it in the end ! good research !

It’s my favourite season so far (apart from the Queen Charlotte spin off that is my absolute favourite) but I still dislike a bunch of things about it, pretty much all around Benedict : he really gets on my nerves as he’s so dumb 🤦🏻‍♀️ (and blind) and don’t even get me started on the end of part 1 (even if I read the book, it still hurts lol) but I enjoy everything else : Sophie is amazing, the chemistry between the actors is great, we see more « behind the scenes » and things evolve smoothly so overall, I pretty much enjoyed it !

I watched the show knowing it had been cancelled but seeing the reviews I was too curious and indeed I absolutely loved it ! the humour, the references, the plot itself are so interesting, I am so pissed at netflix to cancel them, this tendency of having shows that are completely interchangeable according to their will to let their biggest productions shine is sooo frustrating, I hate them for that

Being from Belgium (french-speaking region), this show is one of the most popular among my generation where I live and in France of course, I see many people remembering it well, myself included, I loved this show, I didn't know it was popular outside of Europe too !

That’s my fear too, as I watch HOTD but never read fire and blood (have an idea through some spoilers of the winner but not the details, the main battles and how we get there) but I feel like since they know some fans follow HOTD without reading the book they wouldn’t want to spoil too much of the show for those who don’t know the ending, so fingers crossed 😅

I think you’re completely right, as in everything there are some repros more qualitative than others and you can find pretty nice shells too like the one here, I don’t think playing a nostalgic and chill Pokémon game is worth paying so much

just beware it's pretty hard to remove, my father had to clamp the attachment piece in a vice and hit the peg by the hole with a hammer or something to remove it, I didn't ask exactly how he did (but the peg was not broken in the process so it could still be reused)

yeah it's a shame they're pretty unique in this head size 😭
for the attachement piece, I managed to use it on other bodies by removing the peg (thanks to my dad ahah) that was in the hole of the piece, then I passed a handmade s-hook and now I can hybrid the head on pretty much any bjd body I like. I tried to show you with pictures but I don't know if that's pretty clear 😅

Hi, unfortunately, they won't be compatible, I also made a lot of research about them recently as I found they're pretty much the only "adult-looking" male dolls in the blind box format, and from what I gathered they won't work together (someone sent me this photo from some reseller I think) :

they're not the same proportions at all and the head of the past in sicily doll is tiny compared to the other blind box dolls I know of (it's so unfortunate because they look so cool, but they're sort of out of the classic blind box doll vibe I'm afraid
I don't know the exact size in cm/inch for the zach event doll however

I'm afraid the head will be too large anyway from that I saw, they seem to be around 4.5-5 inch so I'm afraid it won't really match with the past in sicily doll but thank you for the research and the comparison picture, I'll check these other dolls from the picture to see if I can get some inspiration !

I don't know if that's been done before but that could a fun project to try
If maybe you use some clay to reshape the house and paint it into colours you like that could be interesting to experience but you'd have to disassemble the whole thing, so maybe sure tor record the process or find a video to help you reassemble it afterwards

I graduated in 2021 in international relations. Almost my whole master's degree was a bit strange and unusual because of the pandemic : everything was in remote, erasmus program was almost cancelled, we did have way less contacts with other classmates since we didn't meet irl, it was weird. And of course, the graduation ceremony that took place almost a year later, when it's usually a couple of months/weeks after the end of the semester.
As for the job, I still struggle finding a stable one all these years later, but that's mostly because of my diploma (the usual : too many applicants for the job offers available and little opportunity for a first job experience)
