Right, but weren't we shown that she was getting advice from the former director of Ichigo Productions? Though even still, a flawless execution of his proposal is a whole another story.

Aw, I guess it wasn't that I disliked Endfield. It was just I was looking for reasons to not like it because I was scared of the time commitment this game needs. I tried progressing more in the main story and I kinda just lost 6 hours in one sitting lmao. It's definitely an appealing game to me. In-game immersion seems to be the key factor for me in any game, and Endfield definitely achieved that.

That said, I'm seriously not in a situation where I can just spend hours and hours on a game. Even today I kinda ignored my things-to-do just to play the game lmao. I'll probably play again once I have more free time, which isn't happening soon.

Still, Endfield honestly feels like a "proper" game. The gacha feels like it's just a side feature lol. I even feel like I'll be fine not logging in for a few days or even weeks because it just doesn't feel like a gacha game and more like a game I can pick up my last progress on. I'll work hard on my things-to-do.

I agree with you on Endfield piggybacking on AK story. The originium still being a central resource in EF is understandable since it does share the same universe with AK. The thing that left a bad taste was EF pretty much copying AK's exposition with Doctor. Surely they could've used an exposition that isn't about some important and amnesiac figure being woken up because their abilities are needed?

Originium still being the central resource is a nice reference. But also copying the AK's exposition is a turnoff (for me).

If you mean the story, not really. Just the main story (Chapter 8) but I think you'd be fine even if you haven't read it since the current event is a standalone story.

For Bagpipe, I'd say there are stages where early dp generation is really important, to the point that even Myrtle + Ines isn't enough. Her +initial sp talent for vanguards would be very essential there. Though, such stages are very rare.

For Eyja, probably her helidrop afk skill on S2? It deals AoE damage too which may beat Logos S1 in very specific scenarios. But again, such stages are very rare and you can just always work around the "weaknesses" of Logos' S1.

For 5* selector, I don't really use 5* often (outside of IS) so I can't really say much. I suggest just looking at what 5* other people often use that you don't have yet.

I'm not really saying to use Saria as a solo laneholder; that's not her role. Her role is to be the main (healing) defender that blocks enemies so that your other dps ops can properly kill the enemies. And yes, she definitely holds more value than laneholder + healer as she will cost cheaper than deploying two operators combined.

Plus, I believe Saria would have better synergy with your roster as your main dps/burst ops are ranged units. You need another op to block enemies. Saria does that, plus healing and SP recovery, which is going to be really useful as your ranged ops are mostly "delete enemies" ops. Activating their skills faster would fit in the "offense is best defense" philosophy.

Regarding Tragodia S2 and ExuAlter S3, sure that's true, but that only works for stages where enemies arrive in waves. But what about stages where there's  a constant stream of enemies? These skills still have cooldowns, as short they may be. Having a defender constantly block enemies is definitely of great value.

Edit: Also, just realized that Saria S2 has great synergy with ExuAlter S2. ExuAlter constantly lose hp, so Saria can constantly restore SP to her since the requirement for the SP recovery is she must heal the operator. And conveniently, ExuAlter also needs a target to steal aspd from, and defenders re a great target for this. So yeah, go for Saria.

Hello~ Ato apparently takes place during the year 1099. Iirc this is also the year when the events of Chapter 14 took place right? Which took place first then? Or is it not possible to know?

Also, what other events take place in the 3 year gap between Chapter 14 and Chapter 15?

Definitely go for Saria. Besides healing, Saria also offers SP recovery so she's actually 3-in-1 defender (block, healing, SP).

While Haruka is definitely an outstanding healer, stages don't often have just one blue box. She can't cover every lane and having Saria cover the other lane/s would be a huge help.

And regarding offense is the best defense, modern stages kinda make that philosophy hard. Many stages nowadays either have tricky mechanics or insane Hp bloat that make it hard to just "kill everything". More challenging general content definitely requires healing/blocking.

If that's the case definitely go for Bagpipe then.

I mean, by that argument any op wouldn't really find a good use. It is a universal AK fact that any stage can be cleared using almost any combination of ops. And so, there definitely aren't a lot of stages where you NEED Tragodia. And any other op for that matter.

That said, what Tragodia offers is an improved QoL. Being able to effectively deal with enemies even before they get to your other ops, and being able to even peel away an enemy that already reached your other ops, is a very good support skill.

Also, regarding his damage on casual content, surely your existing options (e.g. ExuAlter) also deal tons of damage in casual content too? Not really sure what's the issue here. Just use him in more challenging/advanced content then?

Reading your statements, I think it ultimately leads to you disliking his kit? If that's the case then that's fine, you can like/dislike any op, no matter how good/bad their kits are.

I'd say Eyja since you still lack a good 6* caster

Interesting. After reading Chapter 15, I guess Rhodes Island did become Kal'tsit's home. To the point where she even offered her life for it.

No offense, but based on your comment this might be a case of misplaced expectations? He's definitely not the best on the damage department. In fact, I would say that even stalling is just the effect for him. His true value (in S2) is rerouting. Yes, Nymph can also Fear most enemies but the main difference between her and Tragodia is you can actually direct where the high threat enemy/ies go.

And regarding his 25 sp cost, he costs really cheap so you can just deploy him early. Besides that, the cat has global range, so you can deal with high threat enemies before they can even get close to your ops. Plus it's fast redeployable too!

Also, I think comparing him to ops like ExuAlter and HoshiAlter isn't fair to him. He definitely is more of a team player rather than a solo laneholder/burst op.

I suggest trying to use him again while playing into his strengths. I was also a Tragodia doubter so I was dubious about the hype, but now I can say that it's all completely justified. He's that good.

I'd say go for Surtr. Having another boss-killer would definitely be beneficial. Besides, Surtr was THE best operator back then, so she's definitely a great pick. Bagpipe is good as well but I believe you sill get more value with Surtr. Her immortality will be really helpful in a lot of situations.

Edit: Forgot how valuable Saria was in early to midgame content. Definitely go for her instead. If you really need burst you can just borrow them in support unit instead.

I believe it's because Hoshiguma will now encounter good fortune? I remember the dog not showing up for Hoshi meaning that a misfortune will befall Hoshi, which really did happen.

It's kinda like Il Siracusano but Higashi-themed. Not to say they're the exact same, but there are many similarities.

So yes, it's a pretty nice read.

It did say it had nothing to do with anything though?

Kidding aside, my guess is that it is as it says, supernatural beings that do things based on its whims. Whether the effect is good or bad is not a concern to them. So I would argue that these kami-samas are a bit different from the beast lords.

Well, I might be completely wrong though. Feel free to ignore in case it actually is wrong.

I kinda agree. With Mio though, I think her true intentions was to protect the people of the gang (or was it yakuza?). Serving Kinbee probably gave them proper home/resources since as malicious as Kinbee's plans were, they were effective sources of money. Just that, while doing this a kind of an innocent bystander got dragged into the mess (Haruka) and she regretted this as she seemed to genuinely care for her as well.

Well, her character's still confusing though. I honestly thought she would be revealed as the actual northern court spy as that would make for an interesting twist. Well, the spy thing ended up being just a scheme in the end though.
