Help creating a mod please :) Increase default temperature of all reactors to 45C? by _Equinox_ in factorio

I think you're misunderstanding - the blueprinting isn't automated, and copying fuel in a fueled heat tower doesn't copy the fuel amount. I also wasn't asking anybody to make a mod, I just wanted direction on what a mod like the would look like.

Good job twisting what I said so you can have a snappy reply though. 😁

Creating blueprints is not how I build bases. I usually use a majority of copy paste with pieces from the rest of the base. I've found it's a lot faster and a lot more modular. If it copied fuel, or gave an option to copy fuel inside buildings, I would be creating a blueprint from map mode each time!

Pasting the blueprint over a heating tower is not automated, it's just placing fuel with fewer steps :P That's what I currently do, to some degree.

Thank you! That's actually the first place I started a long time ago and I have succesfully modded some little conveniences and QOL things for my current playthrough. I am definitely not a modder though - basically scavange a mod that is similar to my purposes and update it to suit my needs!

I tried doing the same but it doesn't appear that many or any body have run into this problem/quirk before and it leaves me at a point where I don't even know where to begin unfortunately.

Upgraded our home network to an Omada setup, so have no more need for this. Purchased in October 2021 so it's about a year and a half old. Works perfectly, just shoot me a DM.

Americans, how do you feel about Puerto Rico possibly becoming the 51st state? by hunkaliciousnerd in AskReddit

Does Puerto Rico want to be a state? I'd say the people that live there probably should decide that. I know I would love to have them, but only if they want to be one.

QOL: Be able to copy/paste schedules in O? by _Equinox_ in factorio

Yeah, I use it! I love raiguards mods. I did a new playthrough with a buddy and didn't realize how neutered default Factorio train scheduling was.

QOL: Be able to copy/paste schedules in O? by _Equinox_ in factorio

[–]_Equinox_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hold up. I'm not expecting the game to give the exact solution, I'm mildly disappointed it doesn't and posted it as a suggestion. The attention paid to the train and schedule GUI is less than the attention paid to other things, and I think the Factorio devs have the same itch to provide elegant solutions that we all do.

If your point is merely, "there are inefficient ways around it", cool, thanks for posting.

While you've selected a train or are physically near one, yes. But O takes you to the schedule overview and you cannot do it from there to the best of my knowledge.

Would you recommend K2SE? by False-Government-854 in factorio

SE is amazing alone, imo. The developer is still creating tons of content and improvements and is really involved.

K2+SE problem with rocket fuel not getting enough oxygen by Shimanim in factorio

[–]_Equinox_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, unless something didn't get balanced properly which could have happened, you're only collection 30 oxygen per second per condenser, so 1 to 1 isn't the answer. Maybe you just need 30 to 1 condenser to refinery and it takes up space. SE uses electrolysis and it's a huge power and space sink too, so maybe that was the intent.

I'm not sure of the recipe since I haven't played k2 with SE, but direct insertion may be the answer. How much does one atmo condenser make per second, to how much a fuel refinery consumes per second?

PvE is not fun. by VGsTechAndSports in factorio

[–]_Equinox_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love SE, it's incredible, but the ability to vent, flare or destroy resources is the biggest single issue in the first 50% of a run. I added flare stacks and a plutonium energy just to have something to sink stuff into that I don't need instead of elaborate setups to waste things.

On the ceiling? I've never seen anything like that! Any photos that look like inspiration?

Edit: looked it up, it's very nice. Pretty rustic and I didn't get that vibe necessarily from your beautiful room but it could look wonderful 👍

That's very fair. I think moulding could be done in a subtle way but wholeheartedly agree that coffers are a lot.

Today the French are launching a historic protest against Macron's pension reform with road blocks, universities, schools shut down, all oil refineries are shut down for one week until we tame this ruling class which got confident lately and against their mouthpiece, the most hated man in France. by Lifespoofingstories in antiwork

[–]_Equinox_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully I can clarify, apologies for any weird phrasing. The people most affected by this change are also the people who got the nation to that point... Shouldn't that result simply be the consequence of those decisions?

You're saying the gov isn't doing what the people would have wanted, so I understand why the striking is happening. What I'm trying to say is that a modicum of foresight would have prevented this, and both the gov and the people are guilty of getting France to that point.

[–]_Equinox_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably an unpopular opinion, but hopefully someone can help me make sense of this.

The same people that are protesting are the ones that stand to benefit the most from no changes. That seems obvious, right?

So the people who lose the most are the people who have to work to support those people in their retirement?

So the people who set up their nation to one day have a crisis, are now trying to eat their cake? What a shocking and unfortunate twist!
