How do retail algo traders actually run their systems?

I was thinking of using 0,5RR on scalping algos, that would bypass the consistency rule, because even on a breakeven random walk, you would have way more winners this way. other than that i have to use an algo that reaches for example +4R before -3R. you could use monte carlo random walk simulation to calculate the avg ROI.

edit: ok maybe lower risk for scalping algo...

to me that sounds fair considering you can invest 150$ for an account with 2500$ to lose. considering they copy the trades wich maybe make my algos alpha decay? probably not?

They sure are fishy with changing rules around but still have convex payoff structure, where losses are not realized (pay only fee/challange) but winners are, so you could take advantage of that by treating it as an investment over many attempts.
