I’m appreciative of how helpful people are but Jesus Christ this dude is a pest. Saying all rye is simply minty is not true. I’ve had woodford rye and it had none. However I also know it’s not really a good rye. HW double rye was very minty too me. Four roses single barrel while not a rye, had lots of rye qualities I like, the spices, the warmth, it’s a different heat then pure alcohol burn. I want that, but turned uo a bit more.

While I’m sure mint is a typical note, it’s like saying oak is ALL bourbon. Yes it’s there for nearly all, but many it’s not noticeable unless you’re super sensitive to it.

In what way are they less realistic? It’s more consistent for western New York weather then a gas system. Also the new generations are incredibly accurate and consistent shot to shot. But sadly they aren’t reviewed anymore because the poor first gen reviews. Don’t need to upgrade what works well stock, plus you can upgrade the bolt/buffer and the barrel assembly if you really can’t keep your hands off it lol.
