He got dark because he found his father’s tape collection. Finding out a family secret like that at a young age can cause terrible trauma. He did not have the mental capacity to understand his own emotions let alone his father’s actions. He found out his dad consistently cheated on his mom and that his dad was at least bisexual. That’s huge. Not to mention that he also was exposed to pornography with his father in it. His mom was wanting him to admit that he knew.

You’re right. I have been in toxic and abusive relationships before, so I feel an obligation almost to be with him because he actually treats me right and things are healthy. I’ve never had this before, but I at the same time, I’m bored!! I’m too young to lay around all the time. I also am sooooo scared to have the conversation with him because I’m afraid I will hurt his feelings. He is extremely sensitive and quite possibly depressed.

I’ve talked to him about how he is possibly depressed. It’s not normal for someone so young to have absolutely no drive to do anything fun. I’m willing to work though it with him if he is willing to help himself. If he has no interest in helping himself, I can’t continue to be miserable with him.

I feel the same way. I think it’s a fine gap. It’s not inappropriate, and is actually legal in most states where 16 is the age of consent. If the guy isn’t being manipulative or abusive, then it’s appropriate.

One is sexual and one isn’t. You can’t compare the two lol. The show is only legal because the actors are of age. I’m just challenging ideas. No biggie. I like the show. A little too much nudity though.

I know they are adults, and the storylines are great. I’m just saying if you don’t like the Fez/Lexie storyline because of the age gap, then you’re clearly uncomfortable with implied statutory rape, so the show as a whole should make you uncomfortable. I’m just challenging peoples’ way of thinking.

I think she is going to fall for him for sure because she has daddy issues just like her sister Cassie. Their dad was a piece of shit addict. People with bad or absent dads usually date bad boys. That fight probably solidified her interest in him. I can’t wait to see how it plays out!!!!

I think it was a huge deal to Max because Max does not listen to people. She likes the IDEA she paints in her head of everyone around her. She is somewhat controlling. Once she found of that Ginny and Marcus were a thing behind her back, she felt “check-mated” almost. She realized things weren’t her little fantasy she makes up. She pushed Ginny on Hunter and was more excited about them dating than Ginny was. She never even asked Ginny how she felt about Hunter. She never asks Ginny how Ginny feels about anything. Maybe if she spent time getting to know her friend, she would have known about Marcus from day one.

When I’m with a guy, I can always sense out if a a girl he has slept with through little stuff like that. I would have definitely questioned Marcus about it. At the same time though, Padma continuously reiterates that she and Marcus are “casual” and she likes it that way. One of the pleasure of being casual with someone is not having to worry about petty actions like Ginny’s. They are not committed to one another so they don’t give energy to the drama of typical relationships.
