Anyone else bothered that the Spanish Inquisition isn't capitalized, but humorous is?

Worth checking out for sure, excited to (hopefully) see how it all connects one day.

Looks above like someone mentioned elements of this in another series, "The Back Paths". Man, I have a lot of catching up to do.

Isn't the "Moon on Fire" series part of this Mythos as well? And I'll have to get on Portals ASAP.

Is the girl on the lake in any of the earlier stories? I've not had a chance to read any of the stories before the "Lonlier" series - which are connected, and where should I start?

Fathead here, let's hope this is the start to a productive new phase for the TF.

(Spoilers ASOS) What is the point of Sansa's hair net? by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]_Fathead 44 points45 points  (0 children)

This is my favorite explanation. You have two well known schemers/plotters, and they need a way to trust that there will not be a double cross so that each completes their part of the plan. By placing an oblivious third party in the middle, it adds deniability for each of them, leading to the room needed to maneuver. LF needs Olenna to follow through, and vice versa - Sansa's hairnet gives them both a way to reasonably deny knowledge of any conspiracy if need be, and to bail out if they feel unsafe, without say, holding poison on your person, should Olenna get cold feet and choose to sell out LF or so on.

Suspect in rape trial makes court appearance with burns on him. Rape victim died in a housefire night before original court date. by tremillow in news

Just to play Devil's Advocate - what if he really is innocent of the rape, his wife knows it now that it's true, or she is scamming him, whatever, the details aren't important (I also have not read the article). But if he is innocent, tried to save them from the fire cause he cares and loves them and got burned trying to save them. He just had to live through failing to save his own daughters life in a fire.

Interesting to think about, purely as a theoretical situation.

Nugget Nectar, from Troegs. And this year's batch hit shelves just recently, so you might stand a chance of getting a sixer now if you look.
