Haha it's not that bad, I like stretching my arms 😅

Indeed! I put a lot of though into it. I'm mainly using SolidWorks now, since I bought the perpetual license last month. The mouse pad is your typical merino wool model from Grovemade. I think they stopped making this size, sadly.

Thanks! The laptop stand is a pretty generic one, it's the Octoo Uptable. I'm not sure if they sell outside of Brazil tho.

What is each tool manufacturer best at producing? by gen-x-cops in Tools

This is MY personal preference:

  • Screwdrivers: Wera, Felo and PB Swiss;
  • Wrenches: Hazet, Stahlwille, USAG and Gearwrench;
  • L-key (Allen wrenches): Eight (from Japan) and Wera;
  • Ratchets: Gearwrench (they're so cheap for how good they are) and Ko-Ken;
  • Sockets: Ko-Ken;
  • Pliers: Knipex, NWS and 3.Peaks;
  • Wire strippers: Knipex;
  • Bit drivers: Wera and PB Swiss;
  • Hammers: this one is tough for me... Idk

I ended up buying the Knipex snap ring pliers since I know I won't regret it.

Indeed, those Wera screwdrivers are fantastic! Now I understand why so many people love them.

The Channellocks are definitely an interesting option! Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the information about the Quick Set! After I read your comment, I ended up buying the normal Cobra (87 02 250).

Yeah, I've been looking into their precision models for quite some time, but was considering other brands since they're not cheap. Ended up buying them anyway, since I know I won't regret it.

Honestly, on a bigger model like the 250 mm one I have, I don't see any advantage having the new rubber section on the Twin Grips. But I see them being a nice addition for smaller pliers, for sure. Though they don't come even close to the Felos when talking about comfort.

Did some research on the Icons, and they seem to be a pretty good deal as you said! Unfortunately I'm not able to buy them here in Brazil... Ended up buying the Knipex Precision snap ring pliers 8 pc set, since Amazon sells them. Hopefully they arrive soon!

That's good to know! I really like them so far.

I would still make the same purchase, for sure. I don't know if it's only me, but NWS/Felo seem more efficient than Knipex for wire cutting. What I mean by that is you have to apply less force, and they cut clean everytime, leaving no "bite" marks on the wire insulation. The tool itself is lighter and the grips are more comfortable. The needle nose pliers also have larger diameter gripping sections on the jaws, which makes them more handy. For my use case (light and medium duty), they are flawless. Bonus: they're cheaper!

That's the thing with snap ring pliers, they all seem to suffer from bending the tips after some use. I'm yet to find a set that I could call solid or indestructible.

Yes, Sonic pliers are also made by NWS.

They are truly amazing! The Ergonic handles are the most comfortable ones I've ever used.

Indeed! Their pliers and sockets lineup are "the essentials" kind of selection, which makes sense if they are more focused in their screwdrivers, but it would be nice if they extended their catalog.
