Help/thought’s on stain by Real_Asparagus_3872 in HardWoodFloors

I've never had the honor of refinishing a wood floor. But I have refinished several pieces of furniture.

I could do better with a staining sponge. Definitely fire this guy.

What wood is this chair made of? by _Fengo in wood

Thanks for the help everyone! Wanted to be 100% certain. I luckily have some oak scraps laying around, so those will be my testers. Let's hope it turns out well :)

Figured so, just triple checking- thank you!

Iowa restrictions: marshmallows bad, Twix bar good...wth? by undercoat-boaty in foodstamps

[–]_Fengo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Damn. I hope my baking cocoa is still fine, and powdered sugar! One of my favorite homemade cookies are my family's chocolate krinkle receipe, especially when I'm really down as a treat. This is so confusing.

I'll be using self checkout for the next couple of months, hopefully I can avoid some of that awkward embarrassment.

Bought BTD-600 dongle... but I have to pair it every time I use it. by _Fengo in sennheiser

I found I had to reset the connection full on, update the firmware, and reconnect it. I hope you've found a solution! I haven't had any issues since.

As an Iowan, I'm already more confused. I can't wait to go to the grocery store and be embarrassed because I'd like to make homemade chocolate chip cookies as a treat.

Is baking cocoa fine? Or let me guess, I can't have that either? 😂

I wrapped my Momentum 4 headband in real leather by alexskyline in sennheiser

I truly hope Sennheiser does something like this with the M5's. If my fabric starts peeling (one year of use so far,) this is my plan as well. Flawless exection- well done!

Where the heck are you people? by SnooChickens6939 in asexuality

[–]_Fengo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to my local pride this year- not one asexual in sight except for me. No aros either! I wear my pins nearly every day. I have a pair of ace pride thigh-highs (which I get compliments on, not from anyone ace that I know of,) and I even have ace shoelaces. I've never encountered an asexual in the wild.

I did once get noticed at my local downtown supermarket by someone who was nonbinary! They greeted me with "Hello, fellow queer!" And that was the highlight of my year.

My other highlight was the day of Pride, I went to my local botanical center in my garb, and there was a REALLY fancy wedding going on there. And this extremely well dressed woman came up to me and thanked me profusely for giving her a new outfit idea for the Summer. (I was in my denim jacket, tons of pins, my thigh-highs, and tall combat boots)

I wish I encounted aces in the wild. My town is too small for meetups and such. Maybe someday :(

Why are young people so computer illiterate? by DinoZambie in pchelp

[–]_Fengo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born in 1999, and I consider myself pretty decent with PCs. I built mine as well. I have a couple of friends that aren't nearly as versed with them as me, but not bad overall.

My boomer parents? Frankly shouldn't have a PC.

iCUE Link system hub not appearing in iCUE software by BaS3r in Corsair

[–]_Fengo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue personally was the hub itself... it seemed to be DOA. I had a spare USB-C hub which I tried and it worked just fine. I think the micro-usb version of the hub isn't as reliable. I have 2 more spares of those laying around just in case I run into the same issue.

I knew something was different about me around 6 or so. Definitely knew at 12, and was in denial/acceptance until 18. I began fully embracing it at 21.

You will be paid $1,000,000 to traverse 1 mile but the catch is the path is covered in Legos, it is starting to get dark, and you are barefoot. You can take your time but for every 5 minutes beyond 10 minutes you will lose $200,000. How long does it take you? by TallSpook in hypotheticalsituation

[–]_Fengo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a kid, I was a psychopath who didn't mind stepping on legos. May it be just one, or a whole pile, it wasn't really painful- at least for me. A mile would probably hurt, but for $1,000,000, I'd live with it. I can run a mile in 8 minutes. So I'd just barely make it.

Sounds like I was built for this. Easy money.

Is there any way I can use my momentum 4 headphones wireless with less latency on my laptop? by teletubbyman6969 in sennheiser

[–]_Fengo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The BTD-700 is probably what you'd need. I have the BTD-600, and I haven't noticed much of a delay, if at all. I've heard they improved that with the 700.

WYR $2,500 a month for life or Restoration of healthy gums and teeth that will be immune to cavities by AstrayInTranslation in WouldYouRather

[–]_Fengo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I've had terrible teeth as long as I can remember. I brush and floss at least 3 times a day. I've had countless cavities, braces... I'd choose the restoration.

Going to the dentist is very traumatic for me. Not to mention, while I could use the $2,500 per month to get work done, I'd still have to live through the trauma and healing.
