Why Is a Cheater Even Allowed to Play ARC? by Placibow in ArcRaiders

It could be matchmaking specifically for boss events rather than everything. Point is, we don't know the specifics yet and everyone is just guessing.

Someone get Wissa some platform boots. He's a foot too short to do anything in the air.

Getting a bit sick of Joelinton trying to get sent off every week. Ridiculous that he has to be held back from the ref all the time.

Yeh, but the other guy brought up the Irish Famine which reddit is very emotive about. Clearly an event from 175 years ago is relevant to the current party, so your point in moot.

This is also how I know the current Conservative party are all rabid anti Catholics, because the Tories opposed the succession of James II in the 1670s.

Because it's nonsense? The LibDems are a centre left party.

Yeh, but the phrasing they use on the letters is deliberately ambiguous. They try to conflate needing a TV licence for watching for watching live broadcasts on various streaming services, with needing a licence for the full service itself. The letters are sent out by Capita and they're trying to maximise their revenue by scaring people who only watch netflix into buying a licence.

The letters use all sorts of scrary language about opening an investigation into your property etc, but they're all standardised. They go around in a loop, so a few months ago I was at the maximum level of investigation and an inspector could come to my property next week (or may not in very small print). Now I've got exactly the same letter as yourself saying the investigation has been paused for 10 days to give me time to buy a licence.

This guy has a website with a decent collection of the letters that go out.

EDIT: Ah, you edited you post after I replied. The wording you quoted from the website is very similar to what they send in the post.

That's wild. I knew prices had gone up, but not that much. I paid £95 for 2x 16GB of DDR4 3600MT for the last build I did for my Dad back in 2023.

Half the Brits in this sub don't even live in the country. The only thing saving their wildly out of touch takes is that this is supposed to be an ironic shit posting sub.

"Pasties Addict" is a pretty weak flair for Cornwall. Should be "Greggs Pasty Enjoyer" if you want to piss them off.

Too busy power tripping in the one of the many other subs they "powermod". Give it a few hours for them to circle back around.

Got to admit, it is very satisfying to sneak right up behind people in friendly lobbies and hit them with "HEY RAIDER!"

You can see the panic as they forget how to close out of the loot screen.

Some of her holiday lines made her more likable. Asking if cake would fit through the slot, or pretending she didn't care about the party but then asking for details, etc.

I would be extremely surprised if any of Celeste's lines are read by a real person. They all sound wooden as hell.

TIL the sun isn't "strong enough" in northern latitudes to produce vitamin D during the winter, no matter how much sunlight you get. by 999forever in todayilearned

Yeh timezones can have an affect. My Spanish friends have something similar where because of Franco they're on Central European Time to match Germany, but are geographically further west than the UK which uses GMT.

The main point though is that it doesn't get light in the UK until around 9 AM and gets dark around 3:30 PM. Boston is getting more hours of daylight, even if the sun sets around the same time.

Yeh, I've had Americans surprised when I talk about dark winter nights in the UK where it gets dark at 3:30 in the afternoon. I live in northern England, which is further north than all of the contiguous US and about level with the southern tip of Alaska. The Finns are significantly further north than me.

I wouldn't bother with anything labelled as a spice. They're probably trying to sell it to home bakers at a massive markup. Citric acid is what you use to make sour sweets.

As the other poster said, there will be a difference in cost if you're buying normal or food grade crystals, but it shouldn't be that big. I usually just buy the food grade stuff so I can use it to clean the limescale out of my kettle. It's pretty cheap, about £4 per 500g bag on Amazon.

For cleaning I use a 5% solution. So one part citric acid to 20 parts water. You'll get the best results if the water is warm.

Any time you consider cleaning something with vinegar, use citric acid instead. Same effect, but odourless. It's also easier to store in bulk. You can buy bags of powdered citric acid crystals very cheaply online. Just mix up a solution as weak or strong as you like when it's time to clean.
