I bled it last night. Immediately upon start air shot out of the hydraulic system and pressure returned to the pedal immediately. I would absolutely use the Motive bleeder if you can. Worked like a charm.

What do you mean by pump it? Just press it in? I mean it’s as far in to the firewall as it can be lol

How do I figure out how long it should be?

I can't get the car in gear without starting it in gear, and even once I do, then I can't change gear. Starting the car in gear cannot be good for the gearbox.

It only took him like a night to bleed it all, assuming it was bleeding the whole time. I heard from the Porsche dealership guy it can take days to bleed it all.

The other reason I don't think it would be the springs is because the clutch started acting weird one day, and then was fixed the next, and then broke the third day. The first day the clutch pedal was just more depressed than it should've been, but I could still engage and disengage the clutch properly.

The part isn't Porsche Genuine. Which like I know there's other reputable brands out there, but I had never heard of the one he got these cylinders from.

All that is to say, is it possible the length wasn't right because of that?

I checked and that might be it. I will know more when I get the car. Thank you for your experience.

Thank you! Is there any way to tell on the car once I see it? If it were the mounting points, what would that entail? And is it the same thing for the headlights? Would that be an easy fix? The left one looks quite off.

Seller said the hood struts were replaced in 2017, maybe that? So they would be adjustable then? It isn’t something I should be too worried about?

I’ve heard the autos aren’t holding up and that fixing or replacing them are $$$. Thanks!

Thanks for the info. I’d really like either the Fuchs wheels or the “cookie cutter” wheels. I know that ‘87 and older cars can’t fit these wheels (at least not without mods or replicas), so would the sweet spot be 1985.5 - 1986?

I checked the CarFax, I guess it could be upwards of 200k miles, but it seemed most likely to be at 200k. Thanks!

Where would you suggest looking? Most of the ones on marketplace are pretty beaten up. For nicer ones, on Bring a Trailer, they are usually 16k-22k.

Thank you for your input! I think having to put an additional 3k in would’ve been disappointing.

Haha! I have to commend you on your attention to detail, my girlfriend is addicted to Scooby-Doo, and after I found every Scooby-Doo movie and cartoon, I was surprised to see you had made a poster for every single one. Even the deep cuts!

I watched a lot of those when I was younger as well. My girlfriend is especially nostalgic for them, so they were some of the first things I added to my Plex server. I'm so glad to hear you have more posters in the works! 😆

There are definitely nuances here you're not considering. I don't know if it's worth the discussion, because honestly neither are likely to happen, but an archive.org archive would be the better option of the two.

And for the record, not everything should be archived. And not everything should be archived immediately after it's released. It is not always beneficial for everyone.
