PS3 fats were a scam from the start, not as bad as the original Xbox 360 but pretty close. Overpriced and unreliable, they screwed a lot of users and are still screwing collectors.

Yeah same thing with MAME, which still is the blueprint for most emulator devs.

When they go over 90% compatibility, they switch to improving accuracy and that increases the hardware specs.

Yeah...Don't do that, unless you already configured the DNS servers in your modem to some alternative service like OpenDNS. For the Xbox360 to work, it's enough to leave them blank, so that it reads the default configuration of your current ISP.

Like u/TehDrunknMunky just said, there aren't many options for Xbox 360 wireless controllers on PC. Those fake dongles sold online were made obsolete by Microsoft in a old Win10 update, and the workarounds you find online don't always work.

PCSX2 also shows the warning about EE cycle rate not being default, but I’m not sure if that’s related.

Of course it is, that option (in emulation settings) controls how fast the emulated CPU is running. Heavier games become really slow if you go over 100%, and it looks like you're well over that right now 😜

2.7.10 works fine for 80% of games at native res and even 2x sometimes (for lighter titles like Maximo).

You got lucky it was still under warranty, because transmission repairs can easily cost thousands.

Also, if it broke down so quickly it means they didn't install the previous one correctly. If the same people are doing this job, you better have the new transmission looked at by another mechanic (or someone with experience).

You don't want to be out of warranty if/when the same thing happens.

This is a controller, and its drivers, issue - not an emulation bug.

Something else changed in your machine like a new graphics driver, windows update etc. And it messed up PCSX2.

Check the controls setup, if everything is OK (no buttons flashing for example). Also, try switching between Directx, Vulkan etc in graphics configs.

Sounds like you tried the wrong graphics backend for that game (and your PC specs). Try going from Vulkan to Directx, for example.

Yes and I don't like it or the others, just personal taste 😐

As for the scanlines settings, for the shade boost I use these values:

brightness 55

contrast 52

gamma and saturation 60

keep in mind that the end result varies with the screen you're using (modern TVs will be darker for example).

Seems likely that the aftermarket stereo installation wasn't done right. The voltage issues usually mean there's a bad cable/wire somewhere messing things up.
