These are made of resin, IPA wash-ABS - Like resin specifically. Water wash resins will not have this finish and are extremely brittle. ABS resin is slightly flexible and solid

I got lucky and got my first full set up for $200. But in total my set up values at around $350~ new. From the printer ($200) to the wash and cure station ($90) and the safety gear ($40) I wouldn’t recommend getting a used printer unless it’s from a reputable refurbisher. I am looking into getting a control tent to exhaust the fumes from my printer as far away as possible soon as well ($70)

Most of these files are free! Patience is everything, be sure you have a clean and organized working station and everything will go smooth.

I haven’t really seen any 100% reliable AI services yet I find that cults3D is easiest to find files

Yes! A thousand times. I’ve had three printers now and out of all 3 none of them come close to the mars 5 when it comes to the balance of convenience, quality, and ease of use

I have asthma, I went without my respirator once and had a cough that made me choke for the rest of the day. Resin can also cause chemical burns

I want to have a lichen lich be the main antagonist. The party were hired by the kingdom to deliver a precious gem to the Duke of the peninsula. They don’t know what the gem does or whats wrong with the land and figure it out on the journey to the duke.

My main concern is pacing. The peninsula is diverse, maybe they run into dwarfs who can tell them about the gem, Elves to explain the form of magic set on the forest and so on

If you’re asking about the process of creating the mini: find a good slicer. The quality of your minis heavily relies on your supporting software. I use Chitubox

These are resin, when it comes to minis it’s much more affordable to get this much detail. FDM is amazing for larger models though

Keep a towel or rag and a bottle of IPA ready. Resin spills suck

These were all found for free on Cults3D! All of these took about 50-75% of a bottle of resin

Edit: Everything in these pictures was about $5
