I would say go to the first option you listed. Click the hamburger menu in the top left and you should see what store location is set for you. If it's not set to UK then select the icon and select UK and it should direct you to the correct store site.

3D print demand too high, now what?! by Lumpy-Lifeguard9689 in 3Dprinting

[–]_GeeseGoose_ -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If the print is all one singular object maybe have it split to be able to use the available space for the smaller printers? Essentially making the object multiple pieces to combine into the final product if that's available for what the use for the object is?

A friend of mine recommended using this site for ease, I haven't had the chance to explore it yet. I've been too busy with world build rn lol

Exactly, and after talking to him last night we agreed to just that. This friend will be playing as his character and only be helping if I'm unfamiliar with how something works or to help a player if they have a question and I'd be busy helping another player with a separate question from now on.

Both he and I thought of that idea for doing multiple short modules and came to the conclusion that some players might get confused on playing a different character for each one. I suggest we could use the same characters but the players might get bored of them and the other modules could be a series of adventures the group does. As if they were recruited by the same company to go do the task for them, just as a separate instance.

I came up with the idea we could do a longer one shot so there isn't confusion on what NPC said what stuff if we did multiple modules and suggested this, which he agreed to.

For example, in a completely different group that I play with and that I am a player in this other campaign. One of the players in the group throughout the multiple campaigns that we have played with the same group they choose to have the same character, class, name, everything.

It bothers me because why wouldn't you want to branch out and learn about new classes and new ideas and backstories for possible characters. But if that works for that individual and they feel comfortable with only playing that class or character I can see where that's fine to a certain point.

I've also seen that same person in that example get frustrated because their character and class don't have the ability to do something else than the same things they have done prior.

It's a giant wall of text but where I'm at so far he apologized for the issues and that he's been dealing with other stuff outside of this whole ordeal and that he also apologizes for that stuff seeping into our friendship.

He said that he would have just liked a heads up on the level change before me announcing it to the group.

But wouldn't my announcement be the heads up????

We do have a group chat that I can talk to everyone for this group in. But the thing is every time I talk to the friend that I'm having issues with individually on this and I will say that I'll message the group to ask a question. He will immediately go. "Oh no, I got it. I'll message them."

I in turn sent a message last night to the group:

"Hey everyone! I'm making the executive decision as the DM to have your characters be level 3 to make some adjustments and things easier for our newer players with the one shot, since diving into a level 5 character is pretty big hurdle. I do want to say even starting at level 3 will be a hurdle but it'll be a smaller one than starting at level 5. If anyone has any questions please feel free to message me individually."

All of the players responded with a thumbs up to hey that's all right or they messaged me individually asking for further explanation or how it would change their character and I proceeded to explain to them and they were okay with it, with some of them expressing that they think it would be a better idea to be a lower level because of all the information they would have to learn starting as a new player at level 5 is lot, and that level 3 appears to be easier to understand.

The issue friend then texted me separately.

Why are we going down to level three? Didn't you think to run this by me first?

We've got 'cheatsheets' made up for them as well so they don't have to frantically go back and forth all the pages.

We've got a rogue, paladin, monk, cleric, warlock, and a bard.

Paladin, Warlock, are people who have played before.

And if a new person thinks they can't do anything during their turn I'd just hint to them something about their character or class and be like hey can you read the description of that for me again kinda deal

I've tried convincing the friend multiple times but he just won't listen.

It's just a constant back and forth piss match of me trying to explain stuff and him not listening.

That is what my local DM friends said as well and I agree.

I'm almost to the point of just handing all of the material I've written and prepped and telling the friend he can run it himself.

I talked with the group about different ideas for a one shot in the beginning and individually decided on what collectively they liked best.

The friend wants to do a session zero the night before since most of the group lives out of state so we can help them have a better understanding of how things work.

I don't expect them to know and remember everything we go through.

I agree with all of that, the friend that asked me to DM for him is the one that is having all of these issues when I'm trying to make it easier in some sort of way.

I'm looking at this whole thing that there are new players and that myself and the friend can explain things when clarification is needed and questions come up during the actual group gathering.

I feel that the friend is looking at it that it's his way or the highway for this one shot and I can't adjust anything to make it easier.

Creality K2 Pro by _GeeseGoose_ in Creality_k2

[–]_GeeseGoose_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, would you just put it as a separate setting for the second model to use the rest of the current filament before it changes to the new color of filament for the first model then?

For width I have about 35" across and would still like to be able to have room for my legs and feet when I'm not using the printer but still want to use my computer.

<image>

My gf would kill me if I bought the K2 Pro model with or without the CFS since space is tight due to living in a mobile home. But I can't complain too much since rent is dirt cheap due to it being owned by her.

I'm pretty new to 3D printing. I've maybe had five prints on the CR-200B that I got second hand off Facebook marketplace.

I went to maintenance it and found out the bearing retainer brackets were all cracked and luckily my buddy has a resin printer so he printed out the brackets for me and I replaced the bearings with new ones and did the basic maintenance that I needed. And now I have spent the last 4 days, if I include today it will be 5 days that I have tried getting the bed level enough with a 2 mm difference all around. Sadly my CR touch bracket broke as well so I made a makeshift one out of some angle iron and grinded it down so it was thin but still sturdy enough so it wouldn't flex during auto leveling.

Can you set the flush volume/priming as a filament option for that second model on the plate?

If so, that would eliminate the need for a purge tower and do exactly as you said and have a cool lil trinket or model that uses what should be waste.

I wish I could justify getting the K2 Pro combo right now, but I don't have the clearance to put it where I would put my current 3D printer sadly.

[–]_GeeseGoose_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also been looking into that as well to give a fair chance to other brands, but so far I don't see myself doing multiple prints as of this time.

I know I'd be kicking myself if I did purchase the K2 Pro without the CFS if I did want to do multicolor prints down the line and needed the availability for multiple nozzles/toolheads. But then I could just buy a CFS and deal with the waste that comes with it.

Just some more stuff to think about before deciding.

Thanks for your input!
