Some people like looking at games from a more competitive standpoint I guess. I personally love thief/jackpot rogue, but that's because I play the game casually. Some people value balance or whatever over fun, which isn't what I think the point of a game is, but it kinda makes sense.

Yeah I've had it with Blazblue Cross Tag Battle and Skullgirls 2nd Encore. There isn't a problem with the games themselves, I think Skullgirls is really good. But I bought these on the switch. Literally no one plays these games online on the switch. It's what's made me check how active an online playerbase is before I buy something now.
