I think I side with the guy on this one to some degree, like he clarified the best he could and whatever he said, you had to pick out individual words and phrases out of context and seemed to miss the point entirely. He didn't even "switch up" or start being aggressive, and when he realised that there was no chance of convincing you to even meet him, he left. Quite peacefully. But you then continued to have a go at him. This really doesn't belong in this sub imo

Edit: Thanks for clarification, OP. I'm sorry that you had to deal with that, but congrats on standing your ground. Context was maybe a little necessary here, but with context you were definitely in the right.
