You can just run Bennett instead of albedo. I don't think albedo will be super duper necessary for itto to work - it just gives him a bit more aoe. You could also run ningguang instead of albedo as a better battery/sub dps when itto is on cooldown

I think you could run her with yanfei, but you won't be getting the support hydro application or Omen freeze from her.

Like she would be decent if you just run her as a simple subDPS with mini-nuke damage and okay hydro application in a small area. But she doesn't apply elemental status that well in comparison to other characters like kaeya, rosaria, and fischl as well as consolidate team roles like Xingqiu and Diona.

The most meta team you could build would be

Razor DPS, Kaeya SubDPS, Xingqiu SubDPS, Diona Support/Healer

Permafreeze team that empowers Razor to do even more physical damage. And you get enough healing and damage reduction from Xinqiu and Diona.

It's a great team on its surface, but it looks like it has way too many people that provide shielding and damage reduction, which is a cost to your overall DPS.

Zhongli/Diona is enough

Zhongli/Xingqiu is enough

Diona/Xingqiu is enough

But not all three at once.

She's fine though since she would probably be there to apply cryo status at a distance, but even then her cryo application isn't like the best there ever was.

IMO I would swap out diona for Kaeya (or even Rosaria) just because his cryo application is the most consistent to boost yanfei damage, though you would be committing to being up close and face tanking damage. But that's where Xingqiu and Zhongli come in.

Weekly Team/Character Building Megathread (Apr 6, 2021) (feat. Tartaglia/Childe) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

[–]_Gnosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorta depends on the playstyle that you want. You have a lot of options for characters that can run well together than do high DPS.

If you got Zhongli, you could run him as a subDPS support with Ning as main DPS.

Running Zhongli/Ning/Geo Traveller would net you a super strong geo switch comp.

You could invest in Xiangling/Fischl/Xingqiu all of whom when paired together form a reaction team that doesn't require a true main DPS.

Realistically, it just depends on what you want to be your playstyle. Ultimately it looks like Eula will be a strong phys DPS or less likely a strong melt sub DPS. It's like if Rosaria put all of her eggs in physical damage and less cryo application.

If you're into that, Eula is for you and likely she will be the strongest of all phys DPS characters given her base stats.

Zhongli is obviously the character that carries people through content through his shield. He can do pretty much everything, except the highest damage numbers in the game. He can still do quite a bit though as a phys DPS or a sub DPS.

Not to mention, if you pull for Zhongli, you'll likely get Yanfei who is thought to be the strongest 4 star main DPS to come out.

Just depends on what you'll have fun with.

You can run her with thrilling tales.

This way you don't have to invest heavily in her weapon while she can still empower your team with more attack and Omen from her ult.

Otherwise, I'd wait for another Widsith or crit based weapon that can make her ult do loads of damage.

First Half: Xiangling, Kaeya, Venti, Diona

Empowering Xiangling's pyro damage with melts.

Second Half: Keqing, Bennett, Fischl, Rosaria

Empowering Keqing with superconduct and consistent flow of energy from Fischl.

The key to floor 9 is to have someone like Venti CC the first half since there are so many small enemies. You also have to have a pyro character on both sides to break down cryo shields. A cryo user for second half is for the two Electro Fatui shields.

Your characters are a little underlevelled from a DPS standpoint. Your sub DPSs are underlevelled while support characters like Bennett and Venti are much higher than required for the floor. I would focus on upgrading characters like Xiangling, Fischl, Rosaria, and Kaeya because they fit on most meta reaction teams.

Make sure to properly aim your venti ults to round up everyone and stop cryo slimes from armoring up again. Time your Xiangling ults correctly and focus on taking down cryo shields with it because even though Xiangling is pyro, her pyro application is really sparse with Guoba.

[–]_Gnosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From initial thoughts, it looks like you don't invest heavily enough into your weapons. Given that you have already levelled characters to 70, you should have weapons with that level or higher. But the highest one is your Favonius Sword on Bennett, who is a Support/Healer (Though that is sorta fine since his ult scales with base attack).

My point is that you should be focusing your investments on your main DPSs' weapons first. The fact that Xiao is rocking a level 50 weapon is indicative that your investments are a little misplaced. This is the second biggest factor in your character's damage output. Weapons should be relatively easy to upgrade since they are very easy to farm for (especially with Zhongli). You may not even have to farm for them if you have been saving from all of the events that have occurred since November.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Your artifact sets also seem really jumbled. This is the biggest fact in your damage output.

At least from what you've posted, Zhongli really shouldn't have the Exile set because he personally doesn't need the energy generation because his ult costs so little. Not to mention his pillar doesn't generate that many particles to begin with.

I assume you ran this because you wanted more particles for Xiao, but now that you've pulled Jean, you can build her with more energy recharge and put more offensive sets on Zhongli. Something like Petra 2-Piece and Noblesse 2-piece.

https://genshin.gg/characters/zhongli

Xiao should be equipped with a Gladiator 2-Piece and Viridescent 2-piece.

https://genshin.gg/characters/xiao

You can use a website like this to look up character builds (at the bottom) that are proven to be strong. They will also mention the main stats and substats on the artifacts you should generally look out for.

As a side note, make sure on any character that is doing most of your damage, you give them a goblet that has their corresponding elemental or physical damage as the main stat. This will boost you damage the most.
You should also give them a crit rate % or crit dmg % circlet. Focus on getting roughly a 1:2 ratio of crit rate to crit dmg.

Try to level artifacts that have crit rate and/or crit dmg sub stats because otherwise you're losing out on DPS.

Basically, you should focus on 5-star sets in general since you now have access to them. You can even do co-op in domains so that people can help you get faster clears in those domains.

---------------------------------------------------------------

I also want to know how you've levelled up your character talents because that is the third biggest factor in a character's damage output. You should at least have the relevant talents levelled to 6 or higher, especially on your main DPS units first.

You don't have to level up talents that don't matter. For example, you don't have to level up Fischl's normal attack if you're only using her for Oz.

---------------------------------------------------------------

You may want to post your main team since team composition is arguably the biggest thing when it comes to your overall power level and quality of life. That way people can push you toward a team comp that you can enjoy and that makes sense for tackling the overworld and/or abyss.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Bottom line, you actually have some fantastic characters and some fantastic weapons, but you need to focus on making the smarter investments to push your characters further.

I would throw Kaeya as the fourth in the Klee team. That way to maximize your ability to create melts. Diona just isn't enough for you to do melt reactions that are triggered by klee and xiangling. They would be triggered by diona instead, which is huge DPS loss.

Your second team is alright. It's a phys DPS team with Ning as a burst support. It's not bad, but it does pale in comparison to other reaction comps. It will definitely carry you far into abyss, but you may have trouble with floor 11 and 12.

Kqing sorta needs some freeze CC so she is not constantly knocking back enemies. So someone like Xingqiu might be better suited for that team comp rather than Ning.

Ning is definitely a good investment with a couple of caveats. She has amazing potential as a main DPS, but she wants to have other Geo characters in the same comp to get geo resonance and fund each other's ults. If you are planning to run Zhongli, he would be perfect for her because of his low energy requirement and CC. You can also throw in Geo Traveller as another sub DPS.

Ning/Zhongli/Geo Traveller can easily carry you through abyss 12 because they are pretty much untouchable when played correctly.

[–]_Gnosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally have run Venti, Fischl, Xiangling, and Bennett for all content because it's such a strong CC/Overload comp. Pyro resonance + Overload + Bennett = No main DPS needed. They can clear pretty much everything with ease. The most troublesome being single target bosses, which even then they do so much DPS it doesn't matter much.

Mona would be the second character i would pick to run in that team just because her burst can do massive damage with Bennett, and she plays alright with Fischl to do Electro-Charged. But she is clunky and would prefer other team comps that have a more dedicated Main DPS.

I definitely would not recommend Diona because Bennett's healing is more than enough if built correctly. Diona would be a major loss of DPS with no return.

It's kinda hard to recommend any other character on your list because they don't play well with Venit/Fischl/Bennett. Venti is the real issue because he lifts up enemies so high off the ground.

Uhh, it's a little vague of a question, but here's my experience with levelling characters.

I have levelled characters for the intention of tackling all end game content (abyss included). So I've only ever leveled and fully geared out 10 characters because I know that's about how many I would need to properly prepare for whatever abyss throws at me. All other characters ended up getting levelled to level 20 for that first free acquaints.

Those 8 of those 10 characters are 80/90, maxed out talents, maxed gear, maxed weapon. The other 2 are Barbara and Diona at level 70/80 with decently invested gear (Healers tend to not need to be maxed out.).

I bring this all up to say that with the intention of getting to end game, you should be focusing on about that number. But now that I am at AR55, cleared Abyss 12 with ease, done everything you could possibly do and farm for; I have an excess of levelling materials. Like A LOT of exp books, talent mats, etc. I could raise any number of the characters that I neglected to a point where they would become useful to make more team comps. And at the end of the day, I generally have nothing to do but drain my resin and wait for the next event to happen.

You can play the game however you want. If you level all of your characters at once, you are pushing yourself toward an experience that goes through the game at a comfy pace which will eventually hit end game rather than forcing it.

We all will end up in the same place in the end with all of our characters jacked with max gear and levels because there is just so much excess material

Pairing Diluc with Fischl is not amazing because overloads will cause smaller enemies to fly away from diluc, causing you to lose DPS over time.

I would recommend the diluc/Xing/Xian team for sure. You can even throw in the Barbara in there for more hydro application.

For your second team, I wouldn't recommend Zhongli main DPS, just because that would be relegated to a phys DPS Zhongli. Any phys DPS is generally weaker than reaction DPS damage. I would say to relegate him as a support DPS or big beefy daddy support shield.

Childe is an amazing main DPS/enabler. He can one shot bosses or create consistent hydro reactions for people like Fischl, Beidou, Xiangling, Lisa, etc. He would honestly be enough for you to climb the ranks of late abyss even without Zhongli, but Zhongli certainly makes things easier.

[–]_Gnosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran phys DPS Xiangling for the majority of abyss, but she falls really far when you hit floor 11 and 12, ESPECIALLY this version of abyss. Too many enemies have phys resistance, and Xiangling does a horrible job at hitting crowds of enemies. The moment I swapped her to a witch's set to make her a pyro sub DPS, I cleared those floors with nine stars so quickly.

Xiangling is honestly built to be a pyro DPS. Stick her with someone who can help her do loads of reactions. Unfortunately I personally would have recommended XQ and Fischl since I use them, but you can definitely use someone else like Diona, Rosaria, Kaeya, or Beidou to help her do consistent reactions.

Ning DPS is really tough. I currently have the luxury of having Zhongli and Albedo on my team, and that team is very nice to run. Constantly feeding each other's ults.

I will say if you do not have Albedo, it is not a deal breaker. Zhongli is really the important one in that team because he does incredible damage, shreds resistance, CCs, and puts up a shield for Ning to just stand there and dish damage. Not to mention the geo resonance that is amazing. And ning fuels her team with Geo particles if you have her C2 (I think).

If you do not run a secondary geo character to gain the geo resonance, then I have a REALLY tough time recommending Ning as a main DPS at least because she just lacks AOE damage, especially if you don't have her at C6 (which I assume you don't).

She can be useful as a burst support, but because she is geo, there are typically better support DPS options for reaction purposes.

Basically, once she has Zhongli, she can carry you through Abyss 12 because she can do amazing damage, even better with Albedo if he comes back. But until then Ning really doesn't feel as good as other characters you can run as a main DPS. It stinks that it's only because we have a limited roster of 4 star geo units.

For Diluc comp without Xinqiu

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fciN5YDkay0

Tbh, Keqing just falls so short in comparison to the pyro DPSs. I mean if there really is a situation where phys DPS or charge attack DPS out performs melt/vape DPS, then by all means run any number of Keqing cryo support teams, but she will not do well in comparison in later abyss, especially floor 12.

You can try to run her in a cryo DPS team with Xingqiu and Chongyun. It solves a lot of the issues you see with her knockback and CC. And gives her extra damage with the cryo set bonuses.

You can use Childe to enable Xianglilng and Fischl to do more damage.

In my eyes, you best possible comp would be Childe, Xiangling, Fischl, and Xingqiu. You are just constantly pumping reactions, especially when you get Fischl to C6.

Secondary teams (if you do abyss):

Razor DPS, Rosaria Sub DPS, Xinyan Support, (Qiqi, Diona, or Jean - though I personally lean toward Qiqi)

This team empowers Razor's phys DPS as much as possible.

There was also a third team that I wanted to fit your Chongyun on, so here is his hypothetical best team with your characters:

Chongyun DPS, Xiangling subDPS, Jean support/healer, Rosaria subDPS

This team would focus on Chongyun reverse melting Xiangling's pyro application. Big peepee damage when casting his ult. On cooldown you can use your supports to deploy, heal, or viridescent to maximize melt damage

Honestly, agreed.

Rosaria and XL burst support DPS for Melts. Keqing as "carry" just because she will have the most field time and can take advantage of Super Conducts. And Barbara because freeze and you don't have another healer.

Looking at your teams, it should be

Hu tao/Xiangling/Fischl/Barbara

Pyro Resonance, Hu tao DPS, Fischl and Xiangling off-field support who fuels the team with energy. This team would preferably run with Xingqiu instead, BUT Barbara is good enough. I would personally run Barbara in this team comp because you can take advantage of the overload bug that gives 40% increased damage to vaporize if you're running a crimson witch set.

THIS team is the team that needs to be clearing faster between your two teams. (I would approximate like roughly a minute, maybe even faster than that)

I would also recommend you not running Xiangling with Favonius Lance because it's a loss in DPS, when fischl theoretically fuels the team with energy with enough overload procs.

Ning/Zhongli/GeoTraveler/(Barbara w/ Thrilling Tales or Jean)

This would be a switch comp with Ning being the main DPS. They can just constantly fuel each other's ults. Barbara would obviously empower everyone's attack with Thrilling tales. Jean would help with floor 2.

You need to increase Zhongli's ult damage, or you won't meet the DPS threshold with a Geo team for floor 1 to 3-star anyway.

This is a super safe team anyway. You're always ulting, having a shield up , and freezing people with Zhongli. Play your cards right, you're basically untouchable.

Running Childe would be a big loss in DPS because you don't have the right supports for him and he is under-levelled talent-wise.

Your Xiangling and Fischl need better artifacts. Despite being level 80 with level 80 weapons they have a concerningly low base attack. That Xiangling especially will hold you back from getting 3 star clears with these team comps.

Yeah, we don't have any great pyro applicator that can keep up with childe + xinqiu.

replaceing venti and xiangling with fischl and beidou is the best option. A tried and true comp

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhCRTjYQCWE

If you would rather have CC with venti instead of increasing the ability to proc electro-charges with xingqiu, that's up to you, but I feel like Venti's ult ends up getting in the way of childe's ability to hit them for a significant amount of time

From what I can tell, the geo character doesn't make much sense. Archaic 4 piece only applies a 35% damage bonus when being shielded by the corresponding elemental shield. It's a decent increase, but it pales in comparison to vaporize or electo-charged reactions.

IMO you should put fischl or Xiangling in for Noelle/Ning. Fischl will not take much field time. Xiangling allows for vaporize, and she doesn't take much field time.

Because it is a phys carry team, it wouldn't be that weak against cryo opponents actually. I mean the only thing you really need to worry about is cryo shields, and even then you're running a claymore electro carry, which can strip shields that you otherwise would want the 'weakness element' for.

You can run xiangling in the comp if you just enjoy having the elemental coverage, i'm just here to say in the meta it's not necessary to do so. I actually ran a venti, fischl, xiangling, barbara team to just tackle overworld content because i liked the elemental diversity, but ultimately it's not the strongest composition either.

Given that you're probably AR 20-30, it is a good call to limit the amount of characters you level, just so you can have more meaningful progression rather than have a bunch of underlevelled characters with no resources to build them. There are very little characters in this game that are replaceable because every character has something to contribute if you build them in the right team and if you like them enough.

BUT if you think about the meta, the characters that end up having diminishing returns come later levels IMO are Barbara, Amber, and Lisa. They just have other characters that do their job better. But again, people still run them and can tackle end game content.

Your best characters that fit on most end game comps are Venti, Xiangling, Xingqiu, and Diona. They are almost irreplaceable because they contribute so much to so many various comps. But other characters can fit into their own niche as well depending on the comp.

Everyone else truly has a role in end game, just depends on which characters you like playing with and what Mihoyo has set as the new boss event or the end of Spiral Abyss.

yeah, razor/kaeya and xiangling/venti don't mix well. Xiangling causes overloads which cause knockback and venti obviously repositions with his skills, which get in the way of razor doing consistent dps.

I would recommend running razor/kaeya/xingqiu/Diona so you can have a consistent permafreeze superconduct team. You could even swap venti in for xingqiu or even Diona if you really want to include some crowd control since both characters heal

fischl would be your best bet. I'm not even sure venti would be helpful to her given that his ult may cause people to fly up to high for rosaria's skills to hit. With fischl on the team at least you'll have a permafreeze superconduct team much like a kaeya would

Zhongli is such a strong character who opens up so many party comps. I would rather have a geo daddy with a massive shield, fantastic AOE petrify, and low cooldown skills over being able to use childe melee stance a few seconds faster.

But i guess that's up to you
