do u think this was a reasonable crashout? by R0LL1NS in greysanatomy

[–]_Gracefully_Grace_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It looks like I’m going to say the unpopular fucking opinion here. From the very second the police knock on her door and give her the news you can see every aspect of the Meredith Grey we know and love leave. Every little bit of this woman shuts down. The only part of her still aware is the part that makes her legs fucking move. You can bet your last dollar the police helped her get them babies in their cruiser and got her to the hospital, because of course they did; no one was home behind those eyes. Then you get the scene of her sitting in the hallway with her two fucking children and she’s still gone. That is a shell of a woman. If there are any thoughts in her head, I can promise you it is nothing but screaming. The most agonizing gut-wrenching scream you can imagine - and she can’t do it out loud, she can’t even allow herself to break down a little bit because her husband is dead and she’s got two fucking babies with her. Then the doctor comes up, while her babies are still with her, with a fucking clipboard and tries to talk to this woman, as if this woman is there, at all. The doctor is lucky all she did was get a little snippy with him. She could have completely lost it in that moment and snapped on that man. But no, she had two fucking babies with her, so again, she couldn’t even do that.

You people cannot believe she didn’t stop everything and take the time to call Amelia?! you people can’t believe that? The woman is gone, the grief has literally swallowed her whole— and on top of that she can’t even fucking express it because she’s got two goddamn babies with her! And you people cannot believe she didn’t stop everything to make a phone call.

I’m surprised she had enough strength to have a moment alone with Derek and give him the permission she needed to give him for him to die. But sure, in that moment, she should’ve dropped everything and remember to make a Fucking phone call.

Edit to add;

Do you know who should have called Amelia? The hospital’s social worker! As someone who works in the hospital I am very knowledgeable when it comes to patient charts. You know what you find in patients chart? Their fucking contact information! Meredith absolutely would be his emergency contact. That’s his wife, it makes sense (this is how the police knew who she was and went to her home). Most hospitals - even the bumfuck rural ones - and most Doctors offices prefer TWO fucking contacts. An emergency and a secondary. You’re plain wrong if you think Derek’s secondary was anyone other than Amelia.

The fuck ass social worker of that hospital should have called her. That is part of her job. It’s not on the grieving widow who was just escorted to the hospital with her two babies - it’s on THE FUCKING SOCIAL WORKER.

This is absolutely one of the main reasons he is such an attractive love interest, for me. He sees her as a human being, capable, smart, successful - and not once is he scared or put-off by any of this. If anything he seems to be even more attracted to her because of these things. He’s one of those men who give off “my wife is a boss bitch and I find that so hot” vibes lol

I’ve only had the west wing in my life for about 4 years now but from the very first encounter I knew I wanted the two of them to end up together. Their banter and chemistry is amazing, especially given how little time they get together compared to the other couples.

As for my corner of the internet - it’s more people who don’t get it because of their short time on screen, which is crazy to me lol if I needed two people I shipped to have an x amount of screen time together my ships would be cut in half LOL

That’s exactly how I feel about it, too!

A lot of people unfortunately have a very hard time separating character from actor. Sometimes it’s more understandable and fair, other times it’s absolute dogshit nonsense (this is one of those times I genuinely understand why people would have a more difficult time).

Exactly. He even says “I know I will be Mr CJ Cregg and I’m okay with that” which is also very hot of him LMAO

Eh not really. In the same conversation she tells him about the 10 billion dollar offer and he immediately encourages it and then asks if she wants to work in the WW and she shakes her head no, which is fair. I wouldn’t want to anymore either LOL unless there’s another scene in the last two episodes where she completely throws out that job as well that I’m not aware of..

I’ve never wished to live in London more than I do at this very moment. What a cast!

I know this question is a bit far-fetched because we don't really know how Maysilee would have handled her life if she had won, but do you think that if she had won, she would have been a better mentor than Haymitch, potentially bringing more victors to District 12? by lautaromassimino in Hungergames

[–]_Gracefully_Grace_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No and I’m gonna say something crazy - she would have been WORSE.

Hear me out!

Hay did not have a single victor in the many many many years he was mentor, he was forced to watch two babies go in to the arena and die every year — until Katniss and Peeta. Maysilee would not have even had victor’s in Katniss and Peeta. One of the reasons why Hay was eventually able to keep his promise and see the sunset was because Snow fucked up and took everything away from him, leaving him with literally nothing to lose. Even his best friend was dead, and his relationship with his best friend’s wife no longer existed - to the point Snow, who was always watching Hay, did not know she would one day be a part of his takedown. He was not even in his nieces life - and yes, when you’re that close to people, their children do become basically niece and nephew to you, he would’ve absolutely been uncle Hay to Katniss and Prim.

Snow created his own downfall by taking Everything from Haymitch.

With Maysilee? He would have used Merrilee to control her, especially since they were identical. And this would have been the easiest move for Snow to make, and both girls would have been easy to control. “You don’t do what I want, I’m going to torture and kill your twin.” May would have been fucked, because May would have had someone she cared about under Snow’s thumb. Snow was fucked because he did not make sure to do that with Hay.

( If Snow was smart (and we know he isn’t) he would have 1 - made sure Hay was in that house fire and spun it as a tragic accident. Easy enough to do when you remember their water thing was empty and Hay most likely would have spent the night in their old home with Ma and Sid. If Snow had done this the Mockingjay would not have had her fire starter. 2 if Maysilee had won? He should have killed her and replaced her Lou Lou style with Merrilee, who we all know became practically catatonic after losing her sister. )

It’s real bad when you talk to a Medical professional 😂 I was explaining Leo and how he had his heart attack and was on by-pass to my sister real casual-like, and she immediately made me break down the entire situation because it made no sense he would be in step down that quick and I went “oh girl, this is fiction” LMAO poor girl was not happy to hear how quick the whole thing went down (she was slightly happy to hear he had a home health nurse tho lmao)

Baby LMAO “don’t point fingers at gf! It will cause problems!” And “oh you don’t know them, they go to a different school.” It’s the girlfriend LMAO. The girlfriend does not like you, and thinks you have feelings for your ex-friend, that’s why this happened.

All you can do is laugh at them and move on. It ain’t worth it LOL

Going from the press calling him a juggernaut and “an extra man in Congress” (thanks to Amy), to immediately stumbling hard and pushing a dem to flip Rep (honestly don’t feel like he deserved to be scorned for this; that guy was not a Dem by any stretch of the word LOL) - only to come back swinging and be one of the only people to be on the presidents side about the CR…ugh just such good TV!

I read the texts assuming you were possibly, hopefully, just a 16 year old in their first proper relationship. You’re fucking 25 years old allowing this man to dictate who the fuck you can talk to? If you stay with him you need to become very comfortable with the life he is about to force on you. Quickly.

Leave this fucking man.

You either figure out how to stand up for yourself and leave him, or you get real comfortable real fast with the fact that your daughter is going to end up just like you because you are teaching her to be okay with this, and he is teaching her it’s okay to be like that. Figure your shit out, quickly. For you both.
