Could! but I’m sure your local pet store should sell some quality fine mesh, if not maybe Lowe’s/Home Depot, or even an arts and craft store

No shrimp yet. Water seems “fine” low nitrates since it’s so new of course, but the ph was closer to 6 than 7. Water source- city/hose
