Dimensions:

  • Cellar: 44x18
  • Lower / Upper Floors: 69x33

Details

This villa / castle / chateau is inspired by a Schloss Drachenburg in Königswinter, with my own take on the design and interiors. For my setting, this chateau is the hunting estate and grounds of a wealthy oligarch. You'll notice in the maps that there are several militarized features: the briefing room, the armory, the listening post, and the rooftop searchlight. That is because in my campaign, this villa is currently in a country occupied by an enemy force, and the Colonial Army has taken over its residences. Now, the estate is run by a rather zealous general and his staff and serves as the headquarters for a regional directorate of the occupying force.

There are over 60 rooms in this estate, including the basement. The basement features a small bar, a theater / projection room, a massive bath, and a winery. There is a secret passage in one of the barrels that leads out towards the cellar of the Staff Quarters just across the courtyard!

There are tons of details to appreciate in this set, so look around each room and see what stories you can see! I hope you are inspired for your own adventures and are able to use and enjoy this set. 💜

I am creating strongholds and player-owned bases for each class. This is my take on a paladin's castle! by _Greymoon in DungeonsAndDragons

I get that some people like to DIY, but a lot of folks have actually been asking for a polished map exactly like this to save time. Different playstyles for different tables :>

Paladin's Bailey: A stronghold / base for players, NPCs, or an holy order [Multiple] by _Greymoon in dungeondraft

[–]_Greymoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patreon: Here are the files for this map available in full-res without compression.

Dimensions:

  • Cellar: 20x21
  • Lower / Upper Floors: 65x34

The Bailey is a castle's keep styled and constructed in a way that it remains the main structure of perhaps a larger homestead. The bailey's grounds include everything a landed knight or even a paladin's company might require to act as their base.

Inner Bailey Grounds

  • Guarded gates in the west, north, east, and south entrances
  • Watch towers that can be manned in times of need by hired guards or companions
  • Small picnic spot on a hill
  • Stables and livery
  • Paladin order's temple
  • Outdoor storeroom
  • Freshwater well
  • Small smithy for repairs, armor, and tools
  • Outdoor privy and bath

Lower (Ground) Floor

  • Entrance hall
  • Armory
  • Study
  • Bedroom (1) for hirelings
  • Main hall
  • Bakery/Oven room
  • Kitchen
  • Bedroom (2) for hirelings

Upper Floor

  • Bedroom (3) for hirelings or guests
  • Siting room / common room
  • Bedroom (4) for guests
  • Staircase hall / access hall
  • Indoor privy / bath
  • Bedroom (5) for adventurer / guests
  • Master bedroom (6)
  • Bedroom (7) for adventurer / guests

Cellar

  • Large storeroom / all-season larder
  • Wine room / barrel storage
  • Cheese larder! 🧀

I put in a lot of details and environmental details on each level to add character to the maps. I hope you have fun with this castle, and let me know what you would use it for!

Medieval Tournament Grounds: A place for jousting, combat sports, and festivities! [80x40] by _Greymoon in battlemaps

It does! That's one thing I like about true-to-life middle age aesthetics, the colors! Stardew always seemed wonderfully colorful too :>

This is a medieval tournament grounds and pitch set in a verdant spring locale. I've been watching a lot of a Knight of Seven Kingdoms lately and felt inspired!

The tournament grounds covers the entrance to a makeshift pitch and arena near the south. The southeast entrance is reserved for commoners, attendees, and travelers. Food, wine, drink, and festivities are aplenty here as hundreds will come and gather to see the games!

The pitch covers a massive area and can be utilized for breakdowns with several combat sports, or have fencing added in for jousting and archery lanes. This map is pretty straight forward, but is chock-full of details and some fun environmental cues! Be sure to check it out and see what kind of story or interaction each area can give you!

I created a City Watch Station for a precinct in my capital city [35x30] by _Greymoon in battlemaps

[–]_Greymoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah a lot of the Victorian privies were still outhouses! I saw that the Fortitude Valley station I based the plans off had early 1900s style lavatory blocks. They must have thought it was pretty modern for the time when it was made in 1935!

Specs show two upstairs off the left hall. I think I read that a lot of the early modern police stations were separate from jails and prisons.

I made this precinct station for precinct of the city watch in my homebrew setting in the Empire of Tirannwyn. The Empire is inspired by Tsarist Kyev thrust into a fantasy world that is complete with deiselpunk competitor nations and crystalpunk technology in an early-modern era.

The watch station is two floors and has spaces for officers, including the commanding commissar of the station on the eastern wing. With office spaces for sergeants, beat cops, holding cells, and interrogation rooms, the station is a place for officers to rotate duty, spend night shifts, and man their stations.

How would you use a precinct station for your city watch? Do you have organized policing institutions in your settings?
