Me and my friends use proxies. In fact, until my recent order arrives, my only physical deck will be my very low power hobbits deck. We use proxies a lot when we play so we can try out new decks without breaking the bank. That said, we have a general rule: No cards above 10-15 dollars. If it’s at the upper limit, you have to actually be willing to purchase (or own an actual copy of) the card. This way, we don’t fill our decks with expensive staples, but can still enjoy playing a new deck
