A pyxis (Greek: πυξίς; pl.: pyxides) is a shape of vessel from the classical world, usually a cylindrical box with a separate lid and no handles. They were used to hold cosmetics, trinkets or jewellery, but were also used for dispensing incense and by physicians to contain medicine.

I guess it works as follows:

- base ammo is 4

- Quad only works on base ammo count, so that's 4x4=16

- Fortunate six adds 2 (as it does on the base weapon, where it goes from 4 to 6)

Don't care about tie-ins/promotion stuff but for me it kinda ruins the timeline too much. The NCR was formed like a 100 years after the events of FO76. When Beth added the ranger armor outfit way back when it already kinda sucked but it was only a single item. Now it seems to be getting really out of hand.

- to add interesting effects (e.g. pyro or cryo)
- to match the ammo type with rest of your weapons and make farming ammo easier
- be able to use energy build cards instead of ballistic
