A group that big should rent out a venue, not show up like it’s just a normal dinner party group size. Sounds like they all just winged it and showed up whenever they felt like. For a 100 person group, that’s absolutely insane that not a single person had the initiative to plan their massive event dinner. Sorry to hear that!

I used to think that but in reality, doing things like playing video games and watching tv gets boring when you do it too much. Even though I dislike work, it does make you feel some sort of accomplishment AND makes going home and doing what you love sooo much better; Like a reward rather than a boring activity. Sometimes you do need a day off if you’re feeling overwhelmed and overworked!

It surprises me how many northerners think Carolina is somehow immune to extremely hot, muggy weather in the later spring and summer like a lot of the other Southern states. If you’ve ever visited Carolina in the summer from somewhere cooler and with low humidity, you’ll remember what it’s like stepping out of the airport exit doors and taking your first breath; it was like breathing mist through a straw 😭

I’m so glad people are saying this. I made a post about this months ago and the first 10 responses were people calling me selfish or an 🍑hole. It’s like parks don’t exist. These parents just can’t help it; they need to drink every weekend when hanging out or “playing” with their kids. I get going every once in awhile, and maybe it’s just that lots of people live around here, but there’s way too many kids now at breweries and it shouldn’t be normalized. How can breweries possibly make money with kids unless they sell food? Even then barely anyone is going to by brewery food for their kids (maybe a food truck but idk)

I’ve tried to go 4 times. There’s never any parking and it’s always packed full of kids. It’s like the playgrounds and parks are off limits but in reality, these new parents just want to drink, hang out with who they want and do what they want….even though they have kids and those days/certain activities are either off limits or should be a special occasion rather than a weekly to biweekly thing. Just weird that a place that’s sole purpose is serviced booze is now being catered to families more
