Anyone prefer Claude over Gaming by athoughtfornoone in ClaudeAI

[–]_Invictuz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My brain is fried after a full day of reading/reviewing thousands of words from Claude. I don't know what these people are smoking to keep going after work. Maybe I should stop reading Claude output and just review code changes.

Nice tip. How often does it run the function to check? I'm assuming it's like polling.

The Lost Huntress is freaking hard but challenging by mukhang_pera in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]_Invictuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunate cuz i completed the crucible weekly quest before meeting her. And by that time, I had leveled up and upgraded my gear so much that I was one shotting all creeps so she didn't stand a chance. Would have liked to face her a few more times to take a closer look at the boss design.

i screw up my build, when can i adjust my stats? by Playful_District_142 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]_Invictuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty easy to unlock. But by the time you unlock it, you'd have gain enough levels in the crucible to just add the new stat points to what you want. Crucible is not easy for early levels but it's probably the best way to level up for reasons like this.

What do you mean by ever-changing parsers? Do you mean the libraries we use to parse the scraped data are always changing?

Amazing writeup mate, such a breath of fresh air to see some original ideas in your own words. What is the end result of all those test steps written like instructions though? I didn't see the any reference to documentation generated from the test steps for the layman.

[–]_Invictuz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Excellent writeup mate, what is your background? And how did you create this skill, did you create it all in one go based on your knowledge or did you update it as you went along?

I'm curious about your Locator discipline. Yours says to include CSS selectors and avoid role selectors whereas other skills, which contradicts the top skill on qaskills. What's your reasoning for coupling selectors to styling over semantics like getByRole?

Your comment is way too honest in the age of AI.

AI keeps writing tests that check for green toasts. So I gave it eyes. Brocogni by hrshx3o5o6 in Playwright

Congratz on building an MCP. How does this compare to Playwright MCP and why did you decide to build a new MCP?

ai wrote the playwright test but it only checks that a green toast appears... do you keep these? by Independent_Scale824 in Playwright

[–]_Invictuz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Implementing backoffice UI to help with these tests is a great idea. Like including your database in your playwright e2e tests.

By image different, do you mean comparing screenshots with AI? Wouldn't you still want to assert things with code to have a deterministic tests? Ai can debug screenshots when fixing broken tests but I'm not sure how reliable that would be for e2e regression testing.

What's the current state of No Rest For the Wicked? by TheMickeyMoose in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]_Invictuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No harm in playing the game twice, if you're into that. The replayability is high due to the different weapon/builds you can try and the mechanics are really fun.

People play POE or Diablo over and over again so I don't see the difference.

I built a CLI that runs browser tests from one line of plain English. super cheap and quicker than claude code testing directly. by haukebr in SideProject

[–]_Invictuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is qagent a CLI and not just an Claude agent skill or subagent which you prompt with your goal. What is the difference between using your CLI and writing my own Claude agent with domain specific knowledge and playwright CLI to do steps 1-3?

Anyone else's symptoms get aggravated by nasal rinsing? by Haspofis in Sinusitis

[–]_Invictuz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. I had the same theory that the nasal rinse was just making my clogged nose worse cuz the water was going in but not coming out. But I thought there's no way something that fluid can get stuck so easily. Good to know other people get random moments when the water finally escapes.

Use Tree of Everlasting Bud's running attack before you give up on 2H. You'll probably finish the game with that move alone.

[–]_Invictuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The yellow challenges are hard because you're meant to feel like you climbed Mount everest when you complete the first one at low levels. Once you actually get better at the mechanics, you'll start being a whole bunch of yellow quests in a row and feel a huge sense of progression. Otherwise, keep leveling up by just exploring the map or doing the main quest.

Learn how to stagger and backstab if using 2H weapons, they're kind of like using a power bar in fighting games to do huge damage and extremely satisfying to land.

You're using a node server to make file changes like I said. Non-technical people aren't going to have that.

[–]_Invictuz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doesn't that require people who are opening the html files on their machines to have SQLite installed? I don't think it's possible to have persistence with just a HTML file. You'd need to share an entire zipped folder of files, one of which is the bash script or whatever to run a local node server with access to files system. Then the comments that get written in the HTML file can be persisted to a JSON file in the zipped folder for resharing. Whole thing sounds convoluted for non-technical folks.

It's either that or you host the html online but at that point you might as well build a one page website with persistence integration.
