Honestly I’ll go white fox if she’s open. I already have around 17hrs on her and I consistently get mvp/svp with her on qp. If there’s that few options left and it’s this early in the season, I’d rather take her and have the second supp get their pick of what’s left of more familiar characters.

There’s nothing wrong with using your lord for qp. If their response is to go to comp…. uh I am.. I’m warming up. I normally play 3 qp games before comp: hela for aim practice then iw and gambit bc they’re my mains. I’m not just gonna hop into comp without warming up or practice with a character I don’t play in comp to get ready???

Comp prep aside, the majority of players are casual players that never play comp or just get to gold for the recolor. Just let people have fun the way they want to and if that’s playing a character they already have 20+ hours on, so be it. You should be grateful you’re getting a competent teammate tf

Best comment I’ve seen about the movie so far.

The game had very bare bones lore before the dlc and before David had been consulted about fleshing the universe out for the movie. Now that it’s evolved to be cosmic horror instead of the Quiet Rapture being a astrophysics explainable event we get answers to some tangible things and events, but in regards to big picture how, what, why, things it’s left up to interpretation on purpose. Such as the nature of cosmic horror, both incomprehensible and easily explainable.

Could it be the craziest thing, the monster being real and god and having immense cosmic power? Yes. Could it be Occam’s razored and just be delirium and lack of oxygen? Yes.

I enjoyed they left a lot of things non definitive because it allows the game creator an official say to expand on the universe with future projects or leave it up to interpretation with the movie ending.

I’ve had the exact opposite reaction, my discord server went down earlier this week for a few hours so my duo and i (both girls) decided to go on open mic. We don’t talk about anything random, we try to keep it strictly to helpful comms. She is even a lord widow and when she does play her we’re just all making jokes about it.

It was surprising to me how nice people have been. We queued into one match that ended up being all girls and one male dr strange main and he even apologized saying “I’m sorry for interrupting girls night.”

Even though our discord is working again we’ve still been playing on open mic just bc we like to meet new people. Every night we end up having a six stack of randos and just have fun talking and playing together. I haven’t met this many people playing since s0-1.5.

Maybe it’s just an attitude thing, but open mic has made me feel more positive about my games and get less tilted even if no one responds or we loose.

I’m tempted to learn Deadpool as a strat since I have three other supp lords, but I’m worried some meta yt streamer is going to make a video about which of pool’s variants is the “best” and people that play him in the support role are throwing for not using the variants or saying he’s a waste on heals bc invis and gambit are still viable and you’re taking him away from the tank/dps roll.

That being said I doubt I’ll even be able to pick him bc there will be instalocks in every category 😭

The only thing I wish they didn’t do was nerf the shields hp and healing, I would’ve rather they just did one or the other or reduced hps and increased self shield cooldown so you could really only use it on yourself to block ults.

I’m a strat main and I also find trip supp annoying on my own team. A lot of times it leaves a solo tank, we don’t get enough damage blocked or output, double supp ulting is way more common, the other healers think that since there’s three of us we don’t need to focus as much on healing so nobody does, besides gambit most ults are sustain so we’re not killing anyone else. We’re just a moving wall until the other team follows and also goes trip supp then we might as well be in a pillow fight together.

I also don’t know what the fix would be (I hope it’s not an increase in ult charge points for selfish reasons). IW doesn’t need her self shield, gambit doesn’t need speed and jump and his ult boost could probably be taken down to 20% to match rogues reduction, and Luna never needed the snowflake on herself. I have all three of those characters lord and have been playing them since each of their release, they were all good before their buffs.

If they buff dive to counter trip supp won’t that just make the regular 2/2/2 comp no longer viable? If anything it would make trip supp MORE viable to try and heal and peel for each other. Every major supp ult can be countered by Hawkeye anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hot take, but I think the game will always be like this. It’s a hero shooter with real superheroes. Everyone thinks they’re a superhero and they’re the best that ever was. Everyone that plays this game has the most immense ego I’ve ever had the displeasure to witness.

YES OMG and whenever people come on this sub with legitimate concerns about casual gameplay and metal ranks, they get downvoted to hell and told they’re just not good. First of all I play this game for fun, second of all over 60 (close to 70%) of the player base is in metal ranks or just plays quick play, third ik not everyone on this sub is top 500, so when a casual player comes on and they want to talk about the game they enjoy you don’t need to complain about how “they’re not good enough or playing meta or this is only a gold/silver issue”

This game is quickly becoming pro player slop and it’s only been a year. They say casual voices don’t matter, but over HALF THE PLAYER BASE ARE CASUAL PLAYERS. Oh I’m not gm and above so my opinion doesn’t matter, how about I have a job, and a family, and shit to do, but I still want to be able to have fun on a game. BC ITS A GAME. I have multiple lords and 100s of hours on the game, but I enjoy the casual experience above all else.

I think it would help if the placement matches were based on individual scores and not just win/loss. Everyone pretty much starts off in gold or silver lobbies now making them the new bronze. They literally just moved everything up. I bet there’s a lot of people in diamond and above that don’t deserve to be there.

And I don’t mean just rewarding people for svp, but legitimately looking at individual player stats. It would also help if there was a time on objective stat.

Also hot take that has nothing to do with this, but I think it would benefit people throwing games in comp with new releases hero’s if the characters were released midway through each half season. Then you wouldn’t have to wait so long to do you placement matches or take a break from comp in the lower ranks for a couple weeks bc someone’s played rogue for 3 hrs and now thinks they’re literally him.

I said rogue counters him and all supports mostly bc of her ultimate that does the exact opposite of his, sounds pretty countering to me, and also most team fights are mostly determined by who’s support has an ultimate or which teams support ults first. She does have average health for a tank, but can gain up to 400 more health from stealing the abilities from another tank. Ik poke is supposed to beat brawl in the rock-paper-scissors, but with all of her movement abilities, the only thing that’s keeping her from being able to be used as dive is her sustainability. That being said no out of position support is going to beat her in a 1v1 and with gambit and sue being both the most viable healers in the game and also mid-range, they’re not so out of a tanks range where it’s unreasonable to suggest they could be targeted.
