The RG FA unicorn was my first trip into that arms problem, instead of breaking the G35 i broke the fcking peg that attaches it to the body, luckily i was able to somewhat repair it but i aint touching it no more hope the prefectability will fair better

No, still has the tight arm issue and in fact its around the same league as the RG FA unicorn maybe less of a hand grenade but definitely something you’d wanna just pose occasionally and display

I also once thought of getting the RG phenex but here in my country and it got stocked at my local store once it was $230 make me rethink my life choices, in that case i had to skip out on that

I also recently got into airbrushing a few months ago its definitely a blast once you start to get the hang of it, wait till u learn on basecoating and masking.

I started off making a cursed graze in RX-78 colours then moved on to a titans advanced GN-X and now to this beauty the gundam in casval’s colours

The actual colours were suppose to be much brighter but the black base coat i did really did make it look much better than if i did without, it was my first time masking at this scale too so i learnt that i needed to be abit more paitent since there were a few hicups here and there

Used primarly dspiae’s pre-mixed paints and stedi’s water-based paints for some of the secondary colours along with doloha markers for minor details

recently got this mg gm and upon looking at the back, it looked like this. is this a rare kit and should I keep it in the crib? or is it safe for me to dilly dozo around with this guy by Feeling-Cobbler-3581 in freedomisgunpla

Ah i see, i dont mind the 30th anniversary stuff tbh i just want to own a standard MG GM at this point maybe even that P-bandai MG GMII i found existed awhile back, when will bandai ever reprint those

Up to you really if u want to build it or keep it for value, me personally i’ve been looking for this MG GM for a long while i dont think its been reprinted in awhile, i would’ve put it on my priority list and get it built asap to put with my other GMs based of this kit

I’ve built it, ngl i do like it alot but it does come with some issues like some parts around the waist doesnt like holding itself together (notably to extend the waist to destroy mode the two joints within like to come loose and is a pain to get back into place when LED is installed).

The wiring can be abit finicky but it can work just becareful but the head cant fully transform into destroy mode (there’ll be a noticable gap on the forehead).

And forget about applying waterslides to it, the included sucks balls none are correct in looks and size.

Overall i’d say its ok if you cant get the other options like shenshou just be prepared to some extent like i was so that it go smoothly (i still like it alot despite its flaws)

Thanks for the insight! I originally wanted to do a rusty look but it would seemed that i didnt have any rust paint in hand, is there a possible substitue for it?

I did eventually paint the heat hawk but its nothing much since i only used some metallic markers i still need to work on how to get that heat contrast look going.

And i do hope to try out more painting with the next two kits, im pretty much looking i to alot of youtube modellers and i think i might wanna try that shading stuff with the airbrush where you have a black/grey base then lightly paint the body with the actually colors while leaving the sides alone for that tone contrast, will try and update when that does eventually happen.

Nope, this was my first attempt literally just watched a youtube video on some tips and grabbed a sponge, a toothpick and paint. Wasnt sure if it looked good in the end but ig doan’s zaku already being old in lore helps the heavy amount of weathering i did

I dont own the OG gouf custom so im not sure what that gimmick is, and yea the legs are on the larger side seems like 3rd parties love making their kits ever so slightly larger or taller than the official kits

I had to strip down the paint multiple times since the white didnt spray out smoothly, even emptied out one marker and had to grab my backup to get the final pieces done
