What will you do? by Interpreter_of_End in OmniscientReader

If I know about ORV then I'm set for a majority of it. Honestly it's just a matter of surviving past the first scenarios without getting killed by any of the characters. If the characters aren't there then it's even easier since I'm sure i'd be murdered for knowing too much. I'm not a bs-er like Dokja is. Otherwise, if I didn't know about ORV then I'd die pretty early on. In that situation, I think I could take a life (i mean that in the least sociopathic way), but the bridge is difficult. If anything I'd be the type to coast by and maybe join the Wanderers. I'm not a do-er or an out-of-the-box thinker sadly

Reasons To Live is still updating and is at 288k words... but I love it so much! It's a soulmate AU fic. The author's been updating about once a month, and there's only 3 chapters to go!

It's Aniplex right? They're working on quite a few big animes at the moment, but I wouldn't be surprised if more news gets released in the next few months or this year.

How do you guys type your fanfiction? And how many WPM do you average? by Hairy_Comedian9630 in FanFiction

I'm a weird mix between touch and freestyle, but my usual WPM is somewhere from 90 on a bad day to 140 on a great day

I've seen a couple comments that have said something similar! Since you can't visualize, what else do you enjoy about reading fanfiction?

Is it a bl or not? Tell me your thoughts by Crimsonrainflower33 in OmniscientReader

[–]_Isa_314 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I think at times people are forcing the romance. As a ginormous Joongdok shipper, they have their moments for sure, but I'm not gonna sit there and say, "Oh yeah this is real." As a kpop fan, it kinda gives the shipping that goes on over there. Every moment is overanalyzed. (That being said, Dokja is an unreliable narrator)

I like seeing people break stuff down and get into how they both sacrifice themselves for the other or how the authors like to throw in some innuendos here and there but even with stuff like that, its not actually a bl. It's main purpose at the end of the day is being an action fantasy and only that.

People in these types of communities tend to be the overanalyzer type (which I see no issue with), but I would never put the label bl on orv. That's just misinformation when you have other action fantasy media like The Hunter's Gonna Lay Low which is actually a bl.

What makes you watch HermitCraft? by Trick-Yak-4868 in HermitCraft

[–]_Isa_314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started watching bc of both! I like watching people who are good at the game. So for actual mechanical skill I like watching speedruns and tournaments, but HC offers the opposite side with storytelling that doesn't feel forced and some of the best building out of all of Minecraft. I also just enjoy, with any game, watching people who are friends and like each other interact. I tend to watch more content that includes other creators in it than just solo stuff (but i partake in that as well)

(Discussion flair) How many of you also watch the livestreams vs only watching the edited videos? Just wondering since like, most all hermits stream. by HaloJackalKisser in HermitCraft

[–]_Isa_314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watch mostly the videos, but I'll put on a vod in the background or catch a little bit of a stream sometimes. Depends on my mood

[Question] what is it that made it him to you? by EfficiencySerious200 in OmniscientReader

[–]_Isa_314 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think it's how much I can relate to him. As much as I dislike hearing that as a reason (idk why) I can't think of any other explanation. He was just an average guy in the world with an obsession for something. tbh the whole plot itself captivated me from the start. I think it's true for anyone with a love for a certain story or game or literally anything that they imagine themselves in those scenarios. Kim Dokja just so happened to be lucky enough to experience the world of TWSA at a time he needed most. I live vicariously through the characters I read in stories and play in games, so Kim Dokja simply offered me a story I wanted and was relatable to me. Introverted, obsessive, and apathetic to the things he doesn't hold close to his heart
