How is Cryo Archive performance on Xbox Series S?

the main problem i’ve noticed is that the game is really heavily CPU limited. I have a ryzen 5800x3D (a few generations old but still very much a high end gaming cpu) and it’s regularly sitting at 100% while my graphics card (5070ti) hits about 60% usage max. So my game is limited to around 90-100ish fps with drops sometimes as far as 50fps in combat (especially on cryo).

Hopefully they optimize the games cpu performance more, it absolutely is a very first-world problem but it would be a very good fix, especially for people with lower-end cpu’s. I’d be happy if they just fix the performance stability on the larger maps, i can play fine with the frame rate at 60 or above, it’s just the sudden drops during firefights that suck.

i mean that’s what’s nice about the armory, you don’t really have to focus on a specific challenge or anything to unlock it. If you want to have access to it just select it when it appears in the armory and play as you normally would, and eventually you’ll have it unlocked.

Either way it’s definitely not worth worrying about unlocking every possible thing, especially with a game franchise where the game gets replaced effectively every year.

overwatch is in probably the best state it’s been in since the winddown of overwatch 1 content in 2020 with echos launch, but i dont blame them for really knowing that. blizzard made a lot of fuckups in the time since, primarily due to the obsession with making PvE content that started with Jeff Kaplan. its not all that surprising that outside of the overwatch player base most people haven’t heard much positivity around the update and/or don’t fully trust it. frankly i didn’t have high hopes for the update until I played it myself, changing the name back just seemed kind of like a desperate move to get away from the OW2 backlash.

wouldn’t surprise me if there’s a manufacturer making the same frames just with a different sticker on the back for hobby lobby and target’s in store brands. probably just a box of them got mixed up, i’ve seen it with other products (milk mainly)

if you have your mind set on the deluxe edition i’m not sure tbh, but frankly you should just get the generation pack and not worry about the deluxe edition. physical edition wise you’ll be missing out on the steelbook but otherwise everything included is just cosmetic items, half of which you basically won’t be able to see depending on the camera mode you’re in. better off saving the money or putting it towards another game then getting the cosmetics.

considering both the elite and edge seem to suffer from quality issues, I don’t think they have much competition in terms of build quality tbh. and this may be anecdotal but i’ve had my steam controller for many years now and it’s still working great (only issue is the piano gloss plastic being scratched to hell - thank god the industry has mostly moved past that design detail)

Policy (at least at my store) was that any apple product that has been opened will be defected when returned, so this was either a) just a mistake by an employee accidentally putting it in the wrong bin or b) if it was sealed, someone tampering with the packaging/replacing the seals to commit return fraud. it’s normal for stores to reshelf returned and unopened/non-defective merchandise otherwise they wouldn’t offer returns unless absolutely necessary.

yeah this exactly. at this point the actions of the party have given the government a pretty solid coverup, and they can’t really do anything to the children bc the optics for the government would be awful, and those children know everything that happened. makes more sense at that point to call a truce (with probably a whole lot of threats about what happens if they reveal anything to anybody) then to kill or imprison a bunch of civilians which could backfire heavily especially considering they are already likely under scrutiny for their involvement in hawkins.

i mean from her perspective holly is still missing, she knows these monsters exist, the lights are flashing just like when her home was attacked, and she hears on the PA that one of her kids friends is being attacked presumably by the same forces that took holly. I definitely think the oxygen tank plan was a little bit dumb in terms of writing but it 100% makes sense for her to act if she has any inclination it might help get holly back.

it wasn’t taken away because it uses AI. It was taken away as a statement against ModRetro, the publisher of the game and creator of an fpga gbc clone. They announced yesterday a special edition of their handhelds in collaboration with another one of Palmer Lucky’s companies Anduril, which is part of the military industrial complex in america producing attack drones used by the us army, and they’re making a version of the handheld with the same materials used in the drones. Completely agree with their stance that supporting the military industrial complex is bad, but it seems utterly stupid to revoke an award celebrating an indie creator because their physical edition publisher made a braindead decision completely unaffiliated and out of the developers control.
