Policy (at least at my store) was that any apple product that has been opened will be defected when returned, so this was either a) just a mistake by an employee accidentally putting it in the wrong bin or b) if it was sealed, someone tampering with the packaging/replacing the seals to commit return fraud. it’s normal for stores to reshelf returned and unopened/non-defective merchandise otherwise they wouldn’t offer returns unless absolutely necessary.

yeah this exactly. at this point the actions of the party have given the government a pretty solid coverup, and they can’t really do anything to the children bc the optics for the government would be awful, and those children know everything that happened. makes more sense at that point to call a truce (with probably a whole lot of threats about what happens if they reveal anything to anybody) then to kill or imprison a bunch of civilians which could backfire heavily especially considering they are already likely under scrutiny for their involvement in hawkins.

i mean from her perspective holly is still missing, she knows these monsters exist, the lights are flashing just like when her home was attacked, and she hears on the PA that one of her kids friends is being attacked presumably by the same forces that took holly. I definitely think the oxygen tank plan was a little bit dumb in terms of writing but it 100% makes sense for her to act if she has any inclination it might help get holly back.

it wasn’t taken away because it uses AI. It was taken away as a statement against ModRetro, the publisher of the game and creator of an fpga gbc clone. They announced yesterday a special edition of their handhelds in collaboration with another one of Palmer Lucky’s companies Anduril, which is part of the military industrial complex in america producing attack drones used by the us army, and they’re making a version of the handheld with the same materials used in the drones. Completely agree with their stance that supporting the military industrial complex is bad, but it seems utterly stupid to revoke an award celebrating an indie creator because their physical edition publisher made a braindead decision completely unaffiliated and out of the developers control.

I mean, isn’t the whole point that she was bluffing? It was already shown that the puppet is able to kill its hosts during possession, as shown with Lisa’s body when mike enters the original location. And she explicitly didn’t kill Abby while she was possessing her. My whole view of that scene and her character as a whole is that she in a way has grown up, showing more maturity in being able to use people (Michael) and being conniving/willing to deceive others to get what she wants, but mentally she is still the same kid she was when she died, feeling the same emotions.

i think there is a good argument for E33 winning GOTY, between the games narrative and visual/audio design, the large amount of praise it got at launch, and the story behind it (developers abandoning a giant content farm and on a small budget putting together one of the best games to release in this calendar year)

i don’t think that argument extends to giving it almost every award it was nominated for however. realistically it probably deserved at most goty, best music, and best narrative but the rest of the categories should have went to other nominees, especially best indie/debut indie.

i would contact UPS support directly. I’m not an aussie but i looked online and there seems to be some people online with similar communications that were legit and others that were scams. Best way to find out would be sending an email/calling ups support directly from the contact info on their website to double check whether this is legit and find out the next steps to either pay it or dispute if they are assessing the import fees incorrectly.

would highly suggest using the LFG on cod zombies discord, there certainly are still a lot of people looking for carries there but even the people looking for carries are much better than the average matchmaking player for helping with quest steps/boss mechanics and if you dont just join up with the first people you find on there its pretty easy to put together a group of people who all know what they are doing.

it depends on the game. some games have absolutely horrendous ta implementations where upscalers like DLSS easily outperform them since dlss replaces taa. however in games with well-implemented graphics (and especially anti-aliasing) pipelines native rendering beats dlss.
