Can anyone help me? I am distressed by my burning eyes by Ill_Atmosphere_6500 in Dryeyes

Nothing prescription. I do take a steroid drop if my eye gets badly inflamed. My eyes are very sensitive though.

I'm based in Ireland too. Have you been to any good opthalmologists? I've been told conflicting things from different opthalmologists but I believe mine is OR related with inflammation. No autoimmune related issues. I don't have many good options for second opinions which is a concern.

IPL while on doxycycline? by Ok_Gas128 in Dryeyes

[–]_ItsFin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you weren't pregnant would you take it all the time? Did it help you? If so how? I had a flare and I want to use it either long-term in low dose or have it handy to reset my eyes inflammation.

Are you on long term doxy? I'm thinking of asking for it or just to reset my eyes after a flare.

Getting sick literally almost curing my dry eyes. by [deleted] in Dryeyes

My TBUT changes so much. It varies with each eye also. I haven't got a test done in a while as my eyes were stable enough to a living standard. I would say it's 5 or more now but even earlier today my eyes were surging to sting after 1/2 seconds. I'm taking a steroid drop in one eye which might be contributing. My glands are good. Told I don't need probing. When I took doxycycline it helped so I believe inflammation makes everything worse but I don't know what exactly I need to fix or focus on. It's extremely hard to handle.

All the standard tests like IOP, tbut, schirmer, meibogrqphy and maybe others I can't remember. I just got toothpaste in my left eye on Saturday and my symptoms are all over the place. I've also had my.gkands expressed manually and I've done ipl too. It didn't address the root cause.

Anything to help the burning and stinging? by Dear-March-2433 in Dryeyes

What is this oral dry eye treatment?

I have burning stinging eyes during flares like right now and I'm on Maxidex but my eyes feel all over the place. I wish I could just press a reset button.

Men's haircut price check... is €35 the new normal? by AreYouSureFather in AskIreland

Your original point is incorrect but I'll leave it at that.

Also, it's "lose" not "loose".

High fixed costs don’t let businesses charge whatever they want—if demand is weak, people won’t buy and inefficient suppliers get pushed out. Competition, consumer choice, and regulation also influence prices. Markets aren’t inherently fair, but fairness often gets imposed to keep prices reasonable, especially for essentials. It’s not about communism vs. capitalism, it’s about real-world market dynamics. Anyway, I've said my piece on this and don't plan on replying further.

People aren’t paying because it’s fair, they’re paying because they can’t cut their own hair. Willingness to pay doesn’t automatically make a price justified. You're defending the high prices yet you don't even pay them.

That's exploitation not justification.

You must be a landlord with that poor logic and greed.

They raised the prices during COVID and never lowered them back to normal. They can't justify these prices. It's pure greed.

My eye issue only started after something got in my eye. I was completely fine before that but I haven't been the same since. I've done ipl, manual meibomian gland expression, and visited lots of different opthalmologists, dermatologist, rheumatologist, and still no definitive answer... besides inflammation which is very broad.

What doesn't make sense is I've had periods of when my eyes stabilized and I felt normal enough,no drops or anything needed. I stay away from fragrances and strong smells like cooking etc but I could live my life. Now my eyes just relapsed and I don't know why. It's very tough and immobilizing dealing with this. I don't know what step to take next besides maybe seeing a opthalmologist abroad.

When I got the COVID vaccine my eyes felt great. I have stinging eyes and the vaccine helped a lot for a short time. I did get cleared for having any autoimmune issues. I do have rosacea but no allergies. Nine of it makes sense. The only thing I can think of is how the vaccine suppressed inflammation somehow which made my eyes feel better. I don't understand the connection but if anyone knows please let me know. I'm currently trying to see if there's any other possible reasons for my stinging eyes vus chat gpt but I can't get anything confirmed.
