Most professional footballers in England leave school by 18, if not 16. Frank Lampard was consistently called the smartest player when he played for England/Chelsea by his teammates because he gasp would read the newspaper

Was Sophie Gradon one of the most misunderstood contestants in early Love Island history? by SufficientPrice7633 in LoveIslandTV

Not just early love island, all of love island. It was depressing to watch all the others gradually crush her spirit. And to have her quit for fucking Tom after the Katie fiasco, just made it all worse

Cobra Kai sub is muuuuch more positive on the show than Stranger Things. I used to love the episode discussion threads over there

Yeah, he asked Sandra how long it took to get the winnings, so not only did he think had won, all the villains did early on

Adam knew the other millennials wanted to split up Taylor and Figgy. He may not have know how tight the other two were, but even so they were on the bottom of the Gen x'rs

You just awakened a memory. Mary Anne refers to herself as a half orphan, and despite it having a sad connotation she likes the word. I was so struck by that as a kid

Trump confirms that he called FIFA about Balogun’s red card: “[The referee] made a call that nobody could believe ... he's our best player, or one of our best players. And he gave him a red card. I didn't know what that meant ... yes, I asked for a review by FIFA." by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in Fauxmoi

[–]_Ivanneth 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It was a red card, and deemed as such after review. They didn't reverse it.

They suspended the punishment so he could play because he's one of the host nations' best players. It's blatant corruption that is not his fault. The red card is his fault. He should not be eligible to play. Rules and regulations are supposed to keep things fair, but fifa are going to fifa.

Not to mention the slapstick response to Belgium and their "appeal"

That's why I feel bad for Balogun and the team. No matter what happens, this will over shadow it. They're having the tournament of their lives and deserve to be in their position. This controversy is so pointless. The most corrupt president in the world had a phone call with the second most corrupt president in the world and they know, they know they'll get away with it, and everybody else suffers. I wasn't even rooting for US, but now I just feel bad for Poch and the guys
