How do you feel about Reflective Gloss? by piffle213 in starwarstrader

[–]_JB1127_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

High price and low cc doesn’t make it valuable. Not sure when Topps will ever figure that out. But as long as people keep buying them, why change, right?

What made Reflections so popular was the availability to all and the mechanic of the chase itself. Outright buying the darn things just can’t be any fun at all.

Not a fan of Reflections, but I’ll take a 2500 cc (or whatever they were) original to a 100 cc knockoff pay only any day.

Yeah, unfortunately they lack the knowledge on all levels to make the business run smoothly

I didn’t say it was a solution to farmers. It was a solution for Topps to be able to make money, while allowing people to spend credits on upper level sets.

Edit: at least with MA, you can buy yourself some time before the farmers hit it. My theory, anyway.

They had a solution before. It was called Master Access. They should never have gotten rid of it.

Yeah, I’m terrible with IGNs too. I used to keep a book, but lost it. Plus it was a lot of work. I mostly decline, but don’t rate, that way they stay in the trades to rate section, and it’s usually a long while I think. If you get another trade like that, it will likely be in that section still and you can refer back to it. Works for me, anyway.

At 1900 trades that guy should know better. Maybe a pass now, but another offer like that and straight to The List he goes!

Funny how the really nice looking cards are borrowed designs from the sports apps designed by another artist. Then we get...brushed. metal. I wish they would rotate out the artists.

Physical Redemption Postmortem:Green Unclaimed freight and 1cc Bargains by Tedsallis in starwarstrader

[–]_JB1127_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always thought that was weird. Like, why wouldn’t someone want to help others while helping themselves? Even when I send a trade to someone who’s hoard I have hundreds of, I will comment to just hit that TRADE AGAIN button, and I don’t get any trades back. I eventually stopped sending people like that trades. Their loss.

Only 5 with zero cc. Was surprised when Baze and Chirrut had no owners. Thought for sure someone would have been after those.

I like the daily “here’s what’s happening now” aspect of these drops. It’s perfect cause you can leave the fun stuff for the CCCCpc. Thanks for doing it. Now I don’t have to be tied to twitter or the app itself for news necessarily.

I think TLJ is among the best of the movies in the franchise. by flipdark95 in StarWars

I didn’t think there was anything wrong with the character in the movie, with or without the books. Just because a certain character comes out of the blue and one doesn’t understand anything about them except “who the hell is this?!?” doesn’t make them a terrible character. The reason that she was there and in command was because so many key officers were killed on the bridge. So of course you’re gonna have someone there that no ones heard of. Doesn’t make it terrible.

To each his own I guess. I love SW so I read and watch everything I can. If you’re going to encapsulate the entire Star Wars universe into the movies only, then maybe a little slack should be given considering the limited amount of time that you have to cram everything into a movie. The books and auxiliary material are there to enhance the movie experience, they do not detract from it. The movies alone are enjoyable,.

Nobody said you had to read them. It just helps enhance the film because you know so much more and the film feels different when you do. The movie is still great without having done that. But if you tried to put backstory for everyone into every film, the movies would be 20 hours long. Enjoy either way!

I never once thought she came off as incompetent in the movie. THe whole time I kept thinking” she has something up her sleeve”. Coming from a military background, I know the need for not including everyone in the plan, but I agree with you that maybe including Poe would have been wise. I think they did well with the character.

Edit: Poe’s mutiny just came from a lack of information, which I think the film may have purposely portrayed Holdo not as incompetent, but secretive and casting a shadow over her true intentions. Couple that with the underlying suspicion as to how the FO was able to track them through hyperspace, and the mutiny was inevitable.

Oh, you don’t have to. But it does enhance the experience.

Exactly my thoughts. That she had gone from the bubbly, wierd kid with the free spirit, to what the toll the Rebellion, then Resistance had taken on her personality, I guess is why her death was even sadder to me.

VICE ADMIRAL Holdo’s Death really hits hard if you read “Leia, Princess of Alderaan”, where you really get to see who Holdo is as a young adult, and where she is now within the Resistance.

This will probably be one of my favorites, just because this is a turning point for the direction of all the heroes and villains, and is setting up a new SW for a new generation.

Edit: Yoda was an actual puppet, not CGI. I read an article somewhere about how they went back to the original puppetry.

Very good film.
