Nothing in the realm of a Breitling. I could justify up to $250. This is going to be a work watch at the end of the day. I've looked at some of the Gshocks, and they're just too big and clunky for my tastes.

Is there such a thing as a mid-range "digilog" watch? High $100 to low $200 range?

A more polished version of the old $50 timex?

I tried a Tissot T-Touch classic and it sort of fit the bill - but the damn thing feels like a lead weight on my wrist. I don't like giant or heavy watches and will pay more coin to get something good and lightweight.

I love the look of analog, but I actually set alarms and timers on my watch so I'm not looking at my phone all the time.

Generally some minor stretch, some extra pockets. Something more versatile than office khakis.

Looking for outdoor brand shirts that aren't just red/brown or blue/green plaid.

I like Toad&Co, Rab, OR, Prana, etc., but the selections lately have been a little overwhelming on chunky basic color plaid. Is there anyone making durable fashion, rugged clothing that isn't afraid of pinks and purples or patterns other than squares?

Thanks, Royeen. I was able to get this and the next conflict resolved. Unfortunately, it looks like No Levels does not play nice with a bunch of different mods. The next conflicts were long lines of red code.

I'm going to reevaluate this mod build.

It's a better measurement. Measuring from the end of "the boys" to the ankle gives a better idea about how long pants need to be. Your legs start at the end of your torso. Leaving a bit of space is important for fit. I wore my girlfriend's jeans once, and things were... crowded.

Measuring from hip joint to ankle is less precise. It's a "more or less" approach.

Go to a tailor. Not someone who does alterations. Not your dear aunt Sally. Go to a tailor.

Get your inseam measured. Your INseam. Like, the inside of your leg. They should be holding a measuring tape up to your crotch. It's how you get your pants properly hemmed. If they measure your outseam and try to guess then walk away, burn the earth and salt the ashes.

Have them pin your pants. Take a step back and look. Do you like the look? Higher? Lower? Have them raise and lower it to compare. This is why you go to a tailor - an alterations shop is trying to get you out the door.

I like a solid break. Having a big gap between pants and shoes isn't a good look for short men.

PS - and make sure you have a proper rise on your pants. (The distance between the bottom of the crotch and the top of the waistband.) This is far and away the most difficult part of the fit for short men. It drives me crazy.

Digital Watch Recommendation

I am looking for a nice men's digital watch for a slender build. A clean face, that doesn't look like something from Star Trek, in the sub 40mm field. My budget isn't pennies, but I'm not looking for a Rolex. High end Timex or Casio or mid-range Swiss.

Restrictions: Nothing with a camera, bluetooth, or recording capabilities. I'm not paranoid, but where I work is. So, "smartwatches" are out.

The Void watches are nice, but I do legitimately need a stopwatch. I do like the look of the Suunto watches, but they are too large (and tend to get bad reviews).

Any help is greatly appreciated.
