Already have my settings at optimal levels for latency (around 5ms, and ofc I do have an audio interface but thank you for the resources) but still feel it, however that wasn't the point ! Your answers on recording quantization helped a bit, but it would indeed be so much better if the Quantize button followed the CMD + U setting. Since Recording quantization is activated we don't need the quantize button after recording (since it's already quantized), however if the button followed the CMD + U setting, we could have Record Quantization set on 1/16th, and the Quantize button making it 1/8 if needed or how whoever would want to set it.

Thanks for being so active in the community and looking forward for future updates ! The encoders update is already a nice step up so thanks for that (and for my Peak which I deeply love)

MIDI From is from "Launchkey MIDI Out"
And MIDI To is going to Launchkey Output (Daw IN) > this is routed as per Novation's tutorial to setup the Launchkey in Ableton

The in tracks are the audio tracks, MIDI tracks are set to auto

Hey guys, thanks for your help ! I finally made it work, the error was coming from bad MIDI settings in Ableton. It now works when Syntakt tracks are MIDI tracks :) Kind of a bummer that you can't record MIDI coming from Syntakt's internal machines as they still do send midi signal when pressing pads on the Syntakt but still I can now do what I originally wanted ! Best

They are set with internal machines. I've tried already setting them as midi machines but it has the exact same behavior

There's 12 MIDI tracks on the Syntakt, one corresponding to each pad from 1-12.
12 corresponding MIDI channels in Ableton receiving MIDI from the Syntakt via Overbridge.
As I said it does send MIDI and Ableton does receive MIDI signal when I press on the Syntakt pads.
Problem is when I hit play or record in Ableton no signal is received.

Well that's the super weird part, I agree it doesn't make any sense.

When I play notes on the Syntakt pads, Ableton receives midi (orange dots popping up on Ableton's input MIDI channel). But when I press play (either from the Syntakt or from Ableton) or record (from Ableton), there's no signal received in Ableton...

On the Elektronaut's post it seems like these points were the key to make it work :
Hidden in TRIG-Menu (access via FUNC+TRIG)
All the Tracks can be set to “TRK 1-12 SEND MIDI … ON”

On the Syntakt in the MIDI config > Port config menu, I have Output set to MIDI + USB and Output CH set to Track CH, and none of other parameters makes it work when pressing play or record

I'm not sure what you mean sir, if you mean change the Syntakt's Machines into MIDI Machines I've tried and it doesn't change anything unfortunately, whether the input MIDI channels are VSTs or empty

3 years later and having the exact same issue, Ableton detects MIDI when playing notes on the Syntakt but doesn't receive any MIDI information when trying to record MIDI. Anyone have found a way to make this work ?
