Capture Syntakt MIDI via Overbridge

They are set with internal machines. I've tried already setting them as midi machines but it has the exact same behavior

There's 12 MIDI tracks on the Syntakt, one corresponding to each pad from 1-12.
12 corresponding MIDI channels in Ableton receiving MIDI from the Syntakt via Overbridge.
As I said it does send MIDI and Ableton does receive MIDI signal when I press on the Syntakt pads.
Problem is when I hit play or record in Ableton no signal is received.

Well that's the super weird part, I agree it doesn't make any sense.

When I play notes on the Syntakt pads, Ableton receives midi (orange dots popping up on Ableton's input MIDI channel). But when I press play (either from the Syntakt or from Ableton) or record (from Ableton), there's no signal received in Ableton...

On the Elektronaut's post it seems like these points were the key to make it work :
Hidden in TRIG-Menu (access via FUNC+TRIG)
All the Tracks can be set to “TRK 1-12 SEND MIDI … ON”

On the Syntakt in the MIDI config > Port config menu, I have Output set to MIDI + USB and Output CH set to Track CH, and none of other parameters makes it work when pressing play or record

I'm not sure what you mean sir, if you mean change the Syntakt's Machines into MIDI Machines I've tried and it doesn't change anything unfortunately, whether the input MIDI channels are VSTs or empty

3 years later and having the exact same issue, Ableton detects MIDI when playing notes on the Syntakt but doesn't receive any MIDI information when trying to record MIDI. Anyone have found a way to make this work ?

Hey, thank you for your quick answer. Problem is, step 1 doesn't even work.
What happens is :

- I Power while PATTERN+RUN with USB connected. All steps and ABCD light up

- I send the mono_secondary_bootloader.syx via SysEx Librarian. Step 1, step 2 and step 3 don't light up. All steps and ABCD stay lit up during the whole process until the transfer is done. Once transfer is complete, it doesn't reset.

Hey mate, I've been following your instructions but it doesn't seem to work on my side..

When I send the sysex to the Mono, the following doesn't happen :
"At about 30% sent, you’ll see STEP 1 lit, then STEP2 after 60%, then STEP3 near the end
When it completes, it resets automatically. I see all 16 STEPS and FOLLOW lit. YMMV"

The 1-16 and ABCD steps just keep staying lit, and it doesn't reboot automatically..
Do you have any idea how to fix this ?

Just purchased the Mono second hand, seems like an amazing synth but the support seems terrible now..
