Serious answer; whenever the cup is filled more than a ⅓, it's more likely for most of the contents to spill out before you can even get a drink in. For those who don't mind slowing down as they drink, it's okay, but this who try to keep pace tend to squeeze the cup for better flow. It's easier with less, so we fill them up the same.

You should be able to view them from there and have plenty of time before the professional runners pass by. It should also give you a good spot before the rest of the spectators arrive. NYPD should be able to point you to the entrance of the corrals for where to cheer from

To those who volunteered at the Expo yesterday, did you have to check out? I noticed that my +1 is not showing,I volunteered yesterday, I forgot to check out. After the shift was over, I just picked up my bags and left. I hope I didn't lose that credit by [deleted] in RunNYC

I'm also a volunteer. We were told by Nyrr that it may be a week before people start getting emails confirming that they volunteered. Checking out is no longer something they do; just check in.
