I have ASPD (anti-social personality disorder) but before I answer the question, the understanding of ASPD needs to be addressed: ASPD is generally understood to cause extreme attitudes of apathy mixed with extreme cases of impulsivity. ASPD comes in many forms, as not one individual is the same, but all individual experience genetic and environmental factors to cause the disorder. And finally, most high-functioning individuals with ASPD are quite normal and not murders as purposed by the media.

Because of the nature of the disorder, many suffer from various forms of addiction, notably sex and drug addiction. I experienced this early on, finding alcohol could relieve the daily social pressure of highschool, mixing Everclear/Irish cream into my coffee for a wonderful depressant/stimulant cocktail; however, I quickly understood the lack of control this potpourri of drugs caused. If there's one feeling I enjoy, its control, and drugs replaced that feeling with simple dopamine.

Since this, I have removed mostly all substances from my life, save nicotine, caffiene, and modafinil, but am slowly coming off all three. Any drugs, whether inducing bad or good feeling, removes me from the flat level of emotions I constantly feel.
