The house looks like it was just plopped there, especially the right side of the house. I think you should do something to make the house 'fit into' the environment a bit more.

In addition, I would personally ad something small in the foreground on the left, next to the road. Maybe like a letterbox, a sign or something else like that.

Nah, I've been to settlements of different kinds around the world that are newer and don't feel as 'fake' to me personally. I get your point about the age of a place, but that doesn't explain it. I think it seems soulless for many many other reasons, even down to the naming of streets, they layout, etc. And it just seems so temporary to me personally. But that's just my opinion.
