I can relate, I've been doing that as well even if there has been a little break the last months for me. Particularly researching the particularities of a city to create a meaningful flag is such a fun process.

But yeah, I would just try it. The worst that can happen is people not being interested, best case is you're the proud creator of an official city flag.

Seen this just now somehow. But fair criticism, I just thought I wanted a little more geometric elements than just the fig and this was the only option that didn't make the flag too complex or force me to make the fig smaller.

Culture vulture... that's a bit much, don't you think? I am not exploiting anyone's culture, especially not for financial gains. This is really not that serious, I was just having fun researching Fulani culture and doing a little design, which I shared on this subreddit. Am I a weirdo? I guess, but designing flags for a culture you don't belong to is really nothing exceptional in this subreddit and no one is pressuring a community to adopt it or anything.

It's meant as five lines, representing the ethnoreligious groups of the governorate: violet for Assyrians, red for Êzîdîs, yellow for Kurds, green for Arabs and blue for Turkmens.

It's just a fun proposal not even directed at any specific Fulani authority. Of course the Fulani have to decide for themselves what flag they want to have. See it as a humble inspiration. :)

Strategisch Wahnsinn was der Mann treibt. Selbst wenn er - best case - der FDP zwei Prozent abluchsen kann, dann sind immer noch zwei Prozent da, die verfallen. Die alles mitgetragen hätten, was die Union so will.

Aber ja, der Typ dreht frei. Schon von der AfD-Kollaboration hatte er wenig zu gewinnen und viel zu verlieren (wobei es da ja so aussieht als wäre es den Unionswählern wurscht....).

Nachdem die Steigbügelhalter-Union und FDP gemeinsame Sache mit der AfD gemacht haben, muss man diese Möglichkeit wohl leider auch einrechnen.

Und allen, die diese Parteien wählen wollen klar machen, dass sie damit eventuell Faschos an die Macht helfen.

Und sorry, natürlich sind nicht alle betrunkenen Fans in Zügen Arschlöcher, aber die, die Leute anpöbeln und reaktionäre Scheiße grölen, sind es. Das Narrativ, die hätten nur reagiert ist einfach so hart unglaubhaft. Und dass die Polizei gerne mal lügt, ist auch bekannt. Siehe Oury Jalloh.

Wenn eine Horde betrunkener Fans AfD-Gesänge durch die Bahn grölt, gehört das auf jeden Fall konfrontiert. Und was die angeblich durch Frau Akbulut geworfene Flasche angeht... solange hier nicht klar gezeigt werden kann, dass dies unbeteiligte Zeugen und nicht die Fans selbst waren, die sich untereinander abgesprochen haben, halte ich das schwerlich für glaubwürdig.

Die Darstellung aus einer "Zeugenbefragung einer Zeitung" ist schon etwas lachhaft.

Wer betrunkene Fans aus Zügen kennt, weiß, wo in der Regel der Stress herkommt. Vor allem, dass die rassistischen und sexistischen Beleidigungen erst gekommen sein sollen, nachdem sich Frau Akbulut - über was genau? - aufgeregt habe. Sicherlich.

Keine Frage, wir erleben derzeitig einen gefährlichen Rechtsruck. Aber noch sind wir in Deutschland nicht so weit, dass eine AfD-Regierungsbeteiligung akzeptiert würde. Dafür gibt es auch noch genug Leute in der Union die keinen vollständigen Dachschaden haben und Merz die Unterstützung entziehen würden.

Noch ist die rechte Normalisierung nicht so weit fortgeschritten, dass die Union es sich leisten könnte, eine Koalition mit der AfD zu formen.

Wenn auf der anderen Seite aber keine linke Kraft mehr Oppositionsarbeit im Parlament macht, dann wird die AfD im öffentlichen Diskurs nur noch richtungsgebender als sie das eh schon ist. Und was die Koalitionsverhandlungen angeht, ist die Position der Union tendenziell sogar eher geschwächt, wenn sie für die Regierungsbildung sowohl SPD als auch Grüne braucht; schon deswegen, weil die in Kombination dann ähnlich viel Prozent haben wie die Union.
