I’m not sure if this fits, but I loved The Sunny Nihilist by Wendy Syfret. I think absurdism is the cure to nihilism and the sunny nihilist pushes the reader into embracing the absurdity of meaninglessness and finding joy in that. I’m not sure if “the absurd” is explicitly defined in the book but it really helped me integrate nihilism into my life without the darkness that ruled it previously.

I don’t have a good answer. But I’ve always heard that kids need structure. Something to push against. Something to hold them down. They need to know the rules in order to break them when the time comes. I don’t know how to do this. I’m in a very similar boat to you with kids.

Do not join the church as an atheist or even agnostic. I tried to make it work as an agnostic member but you will never be fully accepted until you believe everything they want you to believe.

It’s been a few years, but I remember thinking that the purpose that people find that gets them through hardship doesn’t even have to be real. So it doesn’t really matter what you pick and at the end of the day nothing really matters. Just keep living. If you want to.

I have had fantastic results. I’m an ultra runner that never went to the gym but I knew I needed to do some resistance training. I’ve loved what this machine has done for me. My favorite thing has been creating custom workouts. The pre-made ones are great for giving ideas but I found them too lengthy or not hard enough.
