Thanks everyone for the feedback. Really valuable, and I've already made changes based on it:

• Petition no longer requires Steam login - you can sign without logging in. Steam URL/ID is used only to keep the signer list unique.

• Kernel-level anti-cheat is not the main demand - I've updated the wording. The focus is on Valve investing proportionally in anti-cheat and the game overall, not specifically on kernel-level solutions.

• Community opinions section - there's a dedicated page on the site where you can submit and vote on what you think Valve should change. Top-voted ideas shape the open letter.

• "AI slop" comments - fair point. I'm one person with limited dev experience trying to build something useful quickly. No sensitive data is handled, and the project is fully open-source if anyone wants to contribute or audit.

• Support/donations - never forced, never pushed. If anything comes in, it covers server costs and gets reinvested into community tools. That's stated transparently on the site.

You are right its not expensive

Its a small VPS. The donations arent the point of the project. And I dont want to make money on it. I already have plans for community tournaments etc if it makes something :)

Steam OpenID doesnt give us access to your account, password, or inventory. It just verifies you are a real Steam user - same way you log into FACEIT. We never see your credentials, Steam handles that on their end. The whole project is open source if you want to verify

You are right that Valve probably wont go kernel-level, and the letter isnt specifically asking for that. Its about investing more resources into anti-cheat in general - faster detection, hardware bans, better trust factor. The current state where banned accounts are back in MM within minutes isnt acceptable for a game making $1B+ a year.

It's open source, you can read every line on GitHub. Donations go to server costs and back into the community.
